Was it a routine double play ball that he threw away?

Doumit was going to be safe regardless. So the error didn't matter.

Not a good pass at a 3-1 pitch there Adam. Oh, well. Would have loved to get Konerko (Mr. 857 against De Vries) up there somehow.

If Alexei makes the necessary plays, how many runs do Twins score in the first?

2 max

He had a chance at 2 outs before that, but the ball he threw away, wasn't routine, but was clearly concerned about being taken out and botched the throw. He's made plays like that before with no issues.

And what happened on that? Sorry, I missed the first inning.

Viciedo was playing shallow which he probably should do against Revere. But he didn't take a good route to try to catch the ball so it went over his head.

But he advanced to 2nd and ended up scoring on the single by Velencia.

Yep, I was really hoping Dunn would walk!

The runner (Doumit) wouldn't have been at 2B, though, for Valencia. So the 4th and tying run would have been stranded.

If he didn't hesitate a bit and do the 360 spin, he has him...75% chance, at least.

It mattered he got 2nd base on the error and scored on a single.

Red Sox 4-2 Tigers

Yep you're right. I was thinking he was stranded at 2nd.

Boston 4 Tigers 2

Laser show in Beantown, 4-2 good guys

Alexei doesn't like physical contact

What's the biggest lead we've blown this year?

The Peavy 6-0 lead against the Tigers?

Sale against Kershaw in LA?

Those two games stick out, for some reason.

Twins are just taking a great apporach against Q right now. The same approach they used to take against MB

Boston up 4-2

Maybe Santiago shoud have stayed with tghe club and Quinatana go down? What has he done for us lately - like today?

So you have the botched ball (not an error, but he regularly makes it) against Span, the ball thrown away (could have been an out and only 4-2), then Doumit advancing to 2nd and scoring on the Valencia hit.

So three "deleterious" plays in the last game plus that he normally makes.

Have the 2nd lowest ERA on the staff post All-star break.

4-4 thru 2.

Yes, that is why my statement was facetious as in green :lolhitting

Scherzer just threw 98 MPH on pitch 92.

Pretty amazing to have two guys like that on one team.

Unfortunately for Max Patkin, Jr., he's down 4-2.

I really wished we cud have faced Oswalt yesterday sigh
