9/14 Sox at Twins

Question: Why can't Beckham get around on an 89 mph fastball when he's looking for it?

Because the "spin" from everyone around the Sox is that he didn't have enough time to develop in the minors.

That it has basically been "on the job training" for 3+ years for Gordon, lol.

And that Dayan Viciedo has had a lot more time in the minors to hone his game, for example.

And that Dayan's numbers are very good because he's only 23.

$5 says Hawks iPad is on At&t

Simple, his hitting sucks and he has never improved. Only defensively.

Good thing he sat on Wednesday :)

Not quite as dubious as choosing Dunn over Lillibridge last year, but close.

Surely, Ventura was thinking that both Gordon and Dayan would struggle with Scherzer and Verlander...

Two hard hit balls here speared by YOUK at third.

Sometimes better to be lucky than good. And well-positioned defensively.

5 dollars says that someone else operates it for him.

Very funny.

Ah, I jest. Not much else to do when Emirel is in the midst of his best Bruce Chen impersonation against the Sox lineup.

After DJ 2/3 day he is not playing. And our bottom 3 hitters can't hit right handed pitchers. Viciedo 2 RBIs were lucky at bats.

Wow that may be the hardest hit single ever

Lucky is MUCH better than what we've seen from other Sox hitters tonight with RISP.

Tigers announcers talking about how RV has averaged FIVE pitchers a night since September began & rosters expanded....& they kind of chuckled about it.

There have been so many absolute rockets hit at Fenway off that wall where the batter ended up stuck at first, especially with Manny and Ortiz.

TB winning the battle of aces, Price over Sabathia. CC has battled injuries and diminished stuff all season long, hasn't gotten on a big run of good starts or found a rhythm this season.

Price, probably going back into a slight lead for the AL Cy Young. Sale could have jumped to the top had he outdueled Verlander, arguably.

Sale is throwing in the 70s-80s

Seems like it's been forever since this team got a single with a man on 3rd base to score them. I know Rios homered with a man on third vs the Tigers, but I believe it's been over a week since the team had a regular hit to score a run in that situation.

Seems like the Sox hitters keep looking for fastballs against this guy and are letting hangers just float over the plate for easy strikes.

Who is pitching Monday?

Who is pitching Monday?

Currently says Quintana

Although he is regularly hitting well lately, Dwise as our 3rd hitter is ridiculous. DJ should be hitting in his place.

Sometimes it feels like Guillen never left.

Sale got away with a really bad pitch to Carson there.

DJ as third hitter = equally ridiculous

Because heard Tigers announcers saying at first it was supposed to be Gavin on 4 days rest, but Sox switched to Q.

Still think they shouldve just held back Sale til Monday & gave him the extra days of rest for it, especially with Tigers throwing Verlander today.

Should be Rios, and that way Dunn doesn't have to bat 3rd when he returns.

Our hitters are always swinging like a mid belts high level fastball is coming, then it moves and they get confused. But don't worry next time up they figure another fastball is coming. We look at times like little leaguers seeing a curve for the first time. s*** did that just move......

Last 2 innings Sale is getting hit pretty hard.

He has no confidence in his fastball, which is topping out at 91.
