What a disaster to blow this. I guess we still have a glimmer of hope left. Win this mother f***ing division.

If the Sox lose the division and no one is there to see it, did it really happen?

Tigers magic # is what....7 now?

Just over 20k tonight, and that's with a promotion that people typically enjoy

Honestly is this the WORST close division race in MLB history? Both teams are TERRIBLE (no matter how much a lot of people on here want to talk up Detroit --- they suck) and stumbled their way to a tie with 8 games to go.

Funny will be seeing the crowds next year. Doubt I renew my season tickets after this debacle.

lol are you serious? But you renewed them last year? This team was suppose to lose 95 games.

If they lost 100 would you have renewed?

Tiger fans were calling it a season when they were down 3 after last week's loss in the makeup game.

It's 1 game. And Minny hates the Tigers.

I was going to post something similar to what you just said. 2012 has been way better from a PR standpoint than 2011 was. Who knows, maybe they'll make some exciting acquisitions this offseason that generate interest in the team.

Who cares what the Tigers do. We forgot how to win games.

Hopefully the Hahn promotion is true. Let's see what he can work here.

I wasnt going to in all honesty. Did at the last second because this team sucks me back. The bigger point was how pathetic this attendance is in a pennant chase. Sad.

As negative as I was pre-2012, I see no way the 2013 team will compete. Too many pieces of this team will be gone, health concerns for Danks, Jones, Reed, Sale and Quintana (thought I think Hahn/KW will trade him in the winter) and its an odd numbered year so Rios should go in the tank.

I'm not gonna say 100 losses but easily a .500 team.

A lot depends on whether or not Konerko can rebound from his weak 2nd half. If he can, then the offense has potential to be decent. I also have faith in Rios due to Manto's ability to get him to have a regular stance. I'm definitely not pessimistic about next year's team, as I think there will be a lot more stability in the starting rotation.

Wait, health concerns for Jones, Reed, Sale and Quintana? Care to elaborate? I would expect progress for all mentioned.

I'm not sure what the health concerns for Jones and Reed are, but Sale and Quintana, sure.

I guess Sale is gonna be a health concern his whole career.

All I mean are heavy work loads on rookies pitchers in general. More for Sale and Quintana certainly, but Jones and Reed (assuming either or both aren't sent packing) might be a little gassed next year.

Put it this way....if Verlander, Scherzer, Fister, Cabrera, Jackson and Prince stay healthy next year, then Tigers will probably win the division. However, those guys all stayed healthy for the most part and had sensational seasons, and they still didn't run away with the division.

I would trade 2 of 3 out of Q, Viciedo and Reed for MLB ready, cost-controlled talent

What's David Wright's situation in NYC, I'd love him on this team.

Q I'd trade, but I'm hanging on to Viciedo and Reed. As frustrating as Tank has been vs. Righties and not taking pitches I'm still damn impressed by his first full season at 23.

The problem is that De Aza might not be long for CF.

I'd keep Chris Sale, let every FA go, and listen on everyone else.
