It's really hard to say it's UNLIKE any college football player on a big campus and football is king of the town. There could have been drugs or alcohol involved o on his end too, but it's not hard whatsoever to believe he raped her. It's really not. You can be the greatest guy in public and in front of a camera and still rape someone.

 

Regardless, I'm trying to look at what facts or at least information that is out there, and there's way too much smoke here. Rock already covered why it took so long to go public. And what difference does it make that the attorney threw stuff out today, as opposed to some other day? It's not like this is 10 years later.

I'm not saying he did or didn't do it, but I don't know what info was out there that clearly supported him being charged. "Quite unclear" in a rape case is not a case you bring.

 

However, if there were reports of injuries, this seems like a case that even if it's tough to bring, could have been outlined for the court of public opinion. Spell your rationale out in a respectful way (which I've heard did not happen at all) and let society judge the evidence available. That's what they did with Rapelisberger.

She didn't snap 'randomly' she had a history of depression. There was also no witness and no physical evidence, two things the Winston case has plenty of.

She killed herself due to it and the inaction afterwards, so my standards always have death as the worst possible outcome.

I think this thread has embodied the very worst of sports. Pages and pages of defending despicable behavior because the perpetrator plays sports on x favorite team.
