March 5, 201313 yr QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 5, 2013 -> 09:17 PM) The UCONN/Notre Dame game last night was pretty thrilling, but I agree overall. Thrilling? It was awful. 36 turnovers in a game by the #3 team in the country?
March 5, 201313 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 5, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) Thrilling? It was awful. 36 turnovers in a game by the #3 team in the country? I was half watching it. I always like triple overtime games, even if the teams play terrible and I don't have to sit down and actually watch it if I don't want to.

March 11, 201313 yr I'm not a big fan of any Big East teams (other than DePaul ), but for some reason the Big East tourney is always the most exciting.
March 11, 201313 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 10, 2013 -> 10:48 PM) I'm not a big fan of any Big East teams (other than DePaul ), but for some reason the Big East tourney is always the most exciting. The fact it's at MSG makes it exciting for me. There is no team this year that will win 4 or 5 days in a row, IMO, but should be fun as always.
March 11, 201313 yr Author The fact it's at MSG makes it exciting for me. There is no team this year that will win 4 or 5 days in a row, IMO, but should be fun as always. Since the 9 and 10 seeds now get to skip day 1, there definitely isn't a team winning 5 days in a row. If Syracuse can get back to how they played the first half of the season, they have the potential to win 4.
March 16, 201313 yr Watching the Big East Tournament in the Garden is among my fondest memories. I know it won't be the same with Louisville, UConn, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, etc. gone, but I hope they can play the Catholic League Tournament at the Garden still. Have they said they will yet?

Yes, part of the separation deal is that the Catholic 7 get to keep the BIG EAST name and have their tournament at MSG.

This Big East/ACC/Catholic realignment has me so confused. They keep talking about conferences and I have no idea who is where or what.

March 16, 201313 yr Author This Big East/ACC/Catholic realignment has me so confused. They keep talking about conferences and I have no idea who is where or what. Notre Dame, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh going to the ACC in 2013 Louisville going to ACC in 2014 Rutgers going to BIG in 2014 Georgetown, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, Villanova, DePaul, and Marquette form the "new" Big East in 2013 Connecticut, Cincinnati, and South Florida joined by Houston, Memphis, SMU, Central Florida, and Temple in 2013; Tulane and East Carolina in 2014 and Navy in 2015.

Thank you. So the Catholic 7 is still the Big East technically & the Uconn/CIncy is the new nameless "america 12" conference or whatever?

The Conference USA is getting rebuild essentially with a few more crappy teams.
March 17, 201313 yr I can't wait for this to be done so that I don't have to hear any more about what a big loss the Big East going away is. The damned conference is 30 years old, and has one honest to goodness top notched rivalry. This isn't the Big 10 going away or something. The only reason it is a big deal is because is the damned east coast teams splintering.
March 17, 201313 yr Man, some reeeeaaaallllly questionable calls in Louisville's favor the last couple of minutes.
