Listening through the Reds announcers - their color guy sounds exactly like Melton, except he can pronounce names.

Apparently Adam Dunn just destroyed a three run shot off of Bailey.

Dweezy takes advantage of a dropped ball in foul territory by lining a single.

Beckham down 0-2 (duh), fouls off several pitches, works it to 1-2 before striking out on a high fastball from Bailey.

Keppinger (the anti-Beckham) immediately works it to 3-0. Wise takes off but it doesn't matter as Kep walks on four pitches.

Dunn works the count, hammers a HR to center field to drive in three.

Agree with Heads...he sounds like Melton.

Estimates for Dunn's HR at about 450 feet.

Paulie K's swinging.

Viciedo fighting off pitches (notice how differently I characterize Viciedo foul balls vs. Beckham foul balls). Flairs to shallow left field, but dropped by the Reds LF Heisey.

Ramirez grounds out on a rocket (apparently) to 3b.

Half-inning over, 3 runs scored.

Estimates for Dunn's penis at about 450 feet.

Derrick Robinson singles off Danks to shallow left.

Phillips singles, too. Robinson to 2b.

Ahead of Votto 0-2. Votto grounds to 2b, Beckham bobbles the ball so no DP but recovers to throw out Votto. Runners at 2b and 3b, one out.

Heisey lines a ball foul. Sounds like people are squaring up Danks very well. Heisey then grounds a single to LF, scoring one. 1st and 3rd, one out, one in.

Bruce does something to get on base, wasn't paying attention. Frasier knocks Phillips and Heisey in. Tie game at 3-3.

5-4-3 DP by Burriss ends the inning.

Brantley says Danks doesn't look like his mechanics are right.

Says he's hesitant, only has thrown one ball with conviction in this inning...he was shaking his head (Danks), Brantley inferring maybe something is bothering him a bit.

Already 3 runs given up...Beckham messed up a sure-fire DP and it led directly to the first two runs scoring.

His grip has been f***ed up this entire ST.

First pitch, Flowers grounds out.

Tekkote K swinging.

Dweezy up again, grounds out to first.

Game still tied at 3 after 1.5.

Is anyone surprised about Danks? If he's good by May I'll be thrilled. Santiago is the 5 and Danks needs to be in Charlotte. Supposedly one of Robin's best qualities is to take down a vet a notch for the good of the team, so if Danks needs to be down there working on things then hopefully all it takes is Robin's advice and he'll go without making any noise.

He's got time to get things figured out, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with Danks starting the season on the DL. He'd finally get to play with his brother anyways.

"Something is not right with Danks on the mound."

16 hits and 11 runs in 7+ coming into today, ERA around 12.

Said he looks short with both his movement and velocity. Really struggling. Not getting ANY swings and misses.

Now at 16 runs in 9+ innings.

There's no way they can let him start the season in Chicago. Even his outs are hard hit balls.

Bummer. Can't help but think Danks will start the year on the DL.

Might be looking at Sale, Peavy, Quintana the opening series.

Beckham dinger on a hanging breaking ball off Bailey.

Wind/weather-aided. Probably wouldn't have been gone at USCF in April/May.

Beckham 2-R homer, nice!

EDIT: solo. 2R makes no sense.

Two more hits from Wise and Dunn but Konerko double play....

Viciedo triple leads to a tie game. Bruce misplayed it a bit. Thought it was out. Nice to see Viciedo once again going OPPO.

Melton doppelgänger asks if he pronounced Viciedo correctly. He did. Melton must be the evil twin.

I guess in Danks' defense, it may be a lively ballpark. I'd still like to know his velocity, and what he has to say after the game.

Dunn error prevents a 1-2-3 inning.

Last ball of the inning spanked by Mesoroco. Ramirez with an amazing play.

Sloppy game so far, already 3 errors (Fraser/Heisey/Dunn).

That catcher's killing the ball, hitting around .450 with 10 RBI's this spring but still will be in the minors due to Hanigan getting the starting nod.

When I watched him last he had no movement on his FB. He usually had that kind of late "bounce" and now he isnt getting that.
