I like to start this thread every spring.

 

Who is the 3rd/emergency catcher on this club, now that the roster is set? With Ventura saying he may 1B or DH Flowers on occasion, it might actually come up at some point. Thoughts?

 

I would guess they'd look to Gillaspie but Sanchez might have the size for it too.

 

Of course, they should probably use Nate Jones. TRY AND STEAL ON ME BIATCH

I don't remember who it was, but he had a 0.0 WAR, and terrible personnel decisions like that are why we didn't beat out Detroit last year.

Wasn't it Escobar? Then he got traded.

 

I would love to watch Jones throwing lasers down to 2B just gunning guys out.

I would imagine it would be a guy like Sanchez. Someone they wouldn't be too worked up over losing should they get hurt.

I wouldn't worry about it to much. If Flowers is DH and needs to sub in as catcher, you just lose your DH for that game. A pitcher taking a couple of at bats aint the end of the world.

It's more of a fun question than it is a big worry.
