So its official for Danks and Veal was optioned quickly after the game.

Maybe Jones should be optioned. Get his head straight.

Agree completely, he needs some time in the minors. Automatic walks everytime.

He needs to pitch more consistently and sharpen his command.

Veal needs to stay gone.

That was a fun 2-3 months last year when Veal was an unhittable LOOGY. Now he can go back to being a draft bust for the Cubs.

 

You couldn't pick a better opponent for Danks to return against. It's like another AAA matchup.

There are about two people in that pen that should feel comfortable. The rest are just scary.

Danks has worked his ass off to get back - here's hoping he can get back to being a solid starter in the bigs. Starting against the Marlins can't hurt.

So how was Danks' velocity down in the minors? Did he ever get above 90?
