P. Rogers suggests the being bad/collect high picks route

Featured Replies

More reason not to do that.

Uh, no s*** Phil, of course that's what they should do.

Co-sign.

I don't think the Sox need to tank to obtain a high draft pick. They're legitimately that bad anyways.

Obvious Phil Rogers column is obvious

Rogers uses teams that have been bad or were bad forever as models. Thank God he isn't running the Sox.

I still believe half of the problem is instruction on the farm. Working on fundamentals in ST is probably a new experience for younger players out of the system. Trying to compare how things are done in MLB to other sports is apples and oranges. You can often see the results of making the right picks in other sports after two seasons.

The only comparison I would suggest is the need of new ownership. Then you start bringing in people from consistent winning organizations to run things. I'd be checking out scouts and instructors from the Cardinals organization.

I clicked that bulls*** & it gave the digital susbscriber crap again god wtf they make you log in to read that s***? Phil Rogers? Yeah I'm just not going to read it & still rightly conclude it had one good idea tied to a cinder block & sunken in a river of bad ideas. I'm not logging in, F you Tribune you nazis.

Simple solution for that, NY Times, etc.

Just take the title of the article, throw it into google search, then you can get it to come up with all the content displayed. If it doesn't work right away, it will the second or third time.

LOOPHOLE.

Doesn't work for things like baseballamerica "insider" or espn "insider" of course.

i should have just done that

i still dont want to read the article though

Edit: didnt even have to, a quick glance & he mentions the Orioles drafting Manny Machado... neglecting all their other high picks they are still waiting on. Typical Phullas*** Rogers

I haven't clicked a Rogers link since they switched to that Suilia thing. Pain in the ass, and so not worth it

If Phil Rogers ever gets canned over there at the Trib he's the type of guy you find climbing a service pole with a pair of long handled bolt cutters looking for some copper. And if that happens you could call him Phried Rogers. LOL I'm awesome.

There is a positive about Phil. He talks baseball all year round.
