He hasn't done anything worthy of a standing O. He had barely 1 good season for us, and that season didn't even get a playoff birth.

 

It's what he COULD be doing in the future for us though with possible prospects he could bring in....

Jake Peavy reminds me a lot of one of my favorite players when I was a kid in Jack McDowell. Just tenacious competitors. I wish I had a team full of Jake Peavy's.

Flowers IS responsible for that home run. Good for him. He is a lousy #1 catcher, but a good back up.

Verlanders ERA barely over 4.00 now....but still.

Tigs fans on MotownTigers freaking out about Verlander. That contract looks horrible, but they're saying s*** like he's their 6th best starter, shouldn't be in their playoff rotation, etc

It's every board actually. I was reading some board when Toews was having that horrid game in the playoffs against Detroit. They were saying Q should be fired for putting up with it. One guy said if Q was anything but worthless he would take the trainer with scissors with him to the penalty box and cut the C off Toews jersey (sweater)

So it's a lot like Soxtalk.

Soxtalk wouldn't assume we're making the playoffs in the same situation.

The way Verlander started out in April I thought he was gonna have a monster season.

 

He has given up 23 hits in 13 innings against the Sox in his 2 starts.

 

Yikes

nobody warming.

 

Peavy going to finish this inning.

Maybe the roughly 1,000 innings (counting post-season) that Verland threw from 2009-2012 are showing effects.
