LIVE Olympics THREAD. WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS!

So for those that know hockey way better than I do, while it obviously is incredibly likely that Canada ends up beating Latvia, if Latvia somehow pulls this off where would that rank as far as Olympic upsets go?

2nd right behind Miracle on Ice.

Kessel!! Rolling now.

Feels like everyone is scoring except kane

CAN outshooting LAT 43-11 but score still 1-1 with 14:00 left.

Wow blown call against Toews and Canada, should be a penalty shot.

He honestly looks kind lost out there at times, other players arent playing off of him very well.

That would have been awfully difficult to see live, and apparently it is not reviewable.

That was one hell of a play by the Latvian player though.

I dont know how he saw it. Crazy good luck.

Ah f***, the guy is just out of gas, didnt react to the shot at all.

Canadians take the lead.

Well, CAN goal with :04 left on PP. 2-1. Valiant effort by Latvia.

Yeah too bad. The US had to beat Canada at some point to win the gold so might as well be now.

Canada deserves credit for not giving up and getting overly frustrated, they just kept fighting, knowing that eventually the puck had to go in. The Russians would have lost their s*** and probably given up an odd man rush goal. Such a valiant effort from Latvia, good for them.

Friday has rematches of the last two gold medal games both with neighboring countries. Very little work shall be done that day.

Congrats to the Switzerland woman's ice hockey team. First Olympic medal ever for woman and first medal from Switzerland hockey since 1948!

John Tavares out for the season.

Brutal. I guess the bright side is that his team is out of the playoff race anyway.

Only 2 games left for Toews, Sharp, Keith, Kane, Oduya, Kruger, and Hammer. Stay healthy guys!

I wonder what the Islanders' GM/Owner thinks now. I enjoy watching olympic hockey but this is just unfortunate.

I'm surprised that the women's hockey players wear a ton of makeup for games.

Apparently I went to high school with Megan Bozek. I'm so cool.

That was a pretty entertaining 1st period. Hopefully this is the 1st of two beat downs of the Canadians.
