He is 8 games over with a team that should be at least 15.

Do you realize that being 16 games over rather than 8 over is winning 4 games that you lost? So, if 4 games had gone the other way, you'd want to keep him?

Looks like what we have here is a manager who's satisfied with just winning a series instead of going for SWEEPS!!! That's not the mindset of a successful manager. You've gotta go for the kill when you smell blood...Sweeps really lower a team's morale...If we sweep the Yankees, and own them at Comiskey, that might really set the tone for a playoff series against them.

Sweeps lower a team's morale, but I don't think the fact is lost on the Yankees that the only game they won involved their ace against our 5th guy who isn't really a major league pitcher.

 

I have no problem with the decision, keep the big 4 as fresh as possible until absolutely necessary.

If Buehrle really was laboring, then I don't see the problem in the call...its the way they handled it that I disagree with.

Yeah...really....we have SO much to complain about. Roger Clemens and David Wells get smacked around badly by our boys, and we outscore them at their place 29-11, yet there is nothing but "Fire JM" Threads all over the place....Bah!!

I think the influence of Mars being so close to Earth is causing people to act irrationally and speak without thinking things through. Then again, it could be because they are Sox fans.
