April 6, 201411 yr Axelrod off to a good start. I think they said in spring he changed his mechanics a little bit. I know he's a whipping boy around here, but the Sox need a long reliever in the pen. If he puts up 3-4 good starts, and the pen still sucks, I wouldn't mind him coming back in May. --- Barnum RBI single Davidson 2 RBI doubles Phegley is swinging a hot bat. No matter what happens, think they will give Flowers at least two months before throwing in the towel. We've seen this show before. With both of them.

April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 12:56 AM) Kanny- homers for Engel, Hayes, and Michalczewski Inside the park HR for Trey.
April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 06:12 PM) Rondon - 2/5, 2B If this guy can hit at all, he'll be so awesome.
April 7, 201411 yr Keep an eye on Engel. He has a chance. could have been a big 10 football player but concentrated on baseball. can run, catch and throw. didn't hit last year, but he's been solid as a pro.
April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:21 PM) Inside the park HR for Trey. So a single really.
April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 05:47 AM) So a single really. Haha. That was my first thought when I watched the video also.
April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:21 PM) Inside the park HR for Trey. My god, the slice and drive on that ball, that was impressive. I wonder if hitting lefty is considered his "strong side", because he crushed that.
April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) If this guy can hit at all, he'll be so awesome. I see videos posted of his defense every day on twitter. Apparently he's just sick with the glove. I guess a Jose Igelsias, Didi Gregorious type if he can get even a marginal bat to get him to the majors.
April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 11:39 PM) Keep an eye on Engel. He has a chance. could have been a big 10 football player but concentrated on baseball. can run, catch and throw. didn't hit last year, but he's been solid as a pro. IIRC, he was a very promising college player that was supposed to be taken in the top 10 rounds until a weak junior year that caused him to slip quite a bit. The idea that he would go back to school to improve his stock made him fall even further. Sox grabbed him and he seems to have brought his game back up to that level. I was really excited when we drafted him. He looked good in the few games I saw of him in the CWS. Edited April 7, 201411 yr by Chilihead90

April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 02:37 PM) Hawkins homer from yesterday http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?con...99&sid=milb I posted this and his previous day's HR in the 4/5 thread if you want to see them both.
April 7, 201411 yr QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 09:21 PM) Inside the park HR for Trey. Last year's draft has a chance to be epic if guys like Trey and Engel can make it.
