I think a lot has to go right for Hawkins to be anywhere near the player many of thought he had a chance to be coming into 2013. I doubt he is any better than Viciedo offensively. Probably much worse.

 

lets see after this season. i can only gage the comparison based on the age and when DV made it to the majors.

when i came back to this site, many, and i mean many had doubt, had written him off. i kept on saying, he may rebound, he still have time, he is young. well that statement is still true. he is only 21, i would like to see how he does after this season. then many can see, even the fans, if he will ever make it or not.

Definitely rooting for Hawkins, but I don't think anyone will be surprised if AA baseball is too much for him to handle.

i most definitely would, it means that they wasted another draft pick, A. the sox didn't develop him in the minors properly B. if not, the sox didn't draft well.

 

add another name to the long line of sox wasted draft picks.
