Jim Thome is making big but quiet impact behind the scenes

Featured Replies

That lifetime .402 OBP is phenomenal . Thome chatted it up pretty good .

Remember running into him at the Target in Willowbrook... His wife pacing around the store, you could tell she's not having any of it...

Then there was Jim just walking behind her, wearing shorts in the middle of a cold fall day just like average Joe... Good guy.

With the amount of raw power we have lurking in the system, hopefully Big Jim can help some of them out with the mental approach to the game.

Thome stays the same good guy as his baseball role evolves....

I would like to see Brian Anderson join the org in a similar role or in a scouting capacity, assuming he dosnent make the team.

I mentioned earlier I believe he would make a great coach.
