March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:19 PM) SMU choke job coming up. Alford for 3?
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 05:23 PM) Listening on the radio in the car. Goaltending on an air ball? ball had 0 chance of going in. But the SMU player was stupid. That ball was going to graze the rim at best and that is the rule. Disgusting how UCLA got to move on though.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:24 PM) ball had 0 chance of going in. But the SMU player was stupid. That ball was going to graze the rim at best and that is the rule. Disgusting how UCLA got to move on though. Yeah Im not even sure it was going to touch the rim
March 19, 201511 yr What a horrible way to lose a game. I can't imagine that has happened many times before
March 19, 201511 yr this sideline reporter in the UCLA game is just stupid. She really is asking the coach/son if this win validates their selection? lol all it took was two turnovers and a goaltending call on a shot that had no chance to go in in the last 40 seconds to win the game.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:18 PM) Bryce Alford is out of his mind right now. It is like watching Steve 25 years ago.
March 19, 201511 yr Winning a game in the tournament never validates a selection. I hate when people ask/think that.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:22 PM) Lol so bad. Neither team really deserved to win. Too bad there can be only one loser.
March 19, 201511 yr so Seth Davis and others say the rule is if the ball is above the rim and has the possibility of going in, then its a goaltend. bad call then since it doesnt matter if it has a chance of hitting the rim or not.
March 19, 201511 yr Ya part of the rule is that the ball has to have a chance to go in, that had 0 chance.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:42 PM) Ya part of the rule is that the ball has to have a chance to go in, that had 0 chance. It was a foot to the right, unless there was some angels in the outfield situation it was a miss Edited March 19, 201511 yr by RockRaines
March 19, 201511 yr the NCAA coordinator of officiating isnt saying the call was correct, he just wont say it was incorrect. wont give a straight answer.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:46 PM) the NCAA coordinator of officiating isnt saying the call was correct, he just wont say it was incorrect. wont give a straight answer. That was embarrassing to listen to.
March 19, 201511 yr Author UAB looks like they watched the two Baylor games on repeat. If you can get away with bullying ISU in the post and slowing down the tempo, you have a chance. This team could have went far but didn't deserve any better than it got.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 05:48 PM) That was embarrassing to listen to. heat of the moment, it probably was a tough call. the ref is standing 30ft away, see's the ball coming down to the rim and the SMU player jumps up and touches it. but for the coordinator to not even give a straight answer is pathetic. why even have the guy around if he wont even answer the question that is so obvious after several replays.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:51 PM) heat of the moment, it probably was a tough call. the ref is standing 30ft away, see's the ball coming down to the rim and the SMU player jumps up and touches it. but for the coordinator to not even give a straight answer is pathetic. why even have the guy around if he wont even answer the question that is so obvious after several replays. The official who called it had by far the worst angle to make that call, on top of that he was standing at halfcourt.
March 19, 201511 yr QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:48 PM) March, Thursday 19 2015 X The light has gone out of my life QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:49 PM) UAB looks like they watched the two Baylor games on repeat. If you can get away with bullying ISU in the post and slowing down the tempo, you have a chance. This team could have went far but didn't deserve any better than it got. Yeah, once they started pounding inside and getting fouls against the Clones, that just made ISU tighten up and get timid. But that was only half of it. The other half, maybe even more than half, was just taking poorly set up shots.

I figured it would've been the guy under the rim but the coordinator and others on set said the ref under the basket never makes that call.
March 19, 201511 yr Author QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 19, 2015 -> 04:57 PM) Yeah, once they started pounding inside and getting fouls against the Clones, that just made ISU tighten up and get timid.
