May 18, 201510 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2015 -> 05:43 PM) Injury for Micah? Two straight games he's not played. One of the twitter guys had a photo of him working on defense in the afternoon. Maybe they are just giving him a break.
May 18, 201510 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2015 -> 05:43 PM) Injury for Micah? Two straight games he's not played. Someone said he twisted his ankle on his GW double 2 games ago so could be a sprain and getting some rest
May 18, 201510 yr Always nice to see T. Anderson double off of Shipley, the pitcher that I was hoping would drop to the Sox in that draft.
May 19, 201510 yr (may or may not be relevant that the dude who walked him has walked 4 in 3 innings)
May 19, 201510 yr Junior Guerra is extremely interesting. So far 5.0 IP, 2H, 0R, 2BB, 6K (all swinging).
May 19, 201510 yr Guerra ended up 5.2 IP, 5H, 1ER, 3BB, 7K. Relieved by Zach Phillips who's pretty interesting too, after going 11.29 K/9, 3.66 BB/9 for Miami AAA last year he's 10.38 K/9, 2.60 BB/9 for Charlotte this year.
May 19, 201510 yr Holy Moly! Anderson with TWO walks tonight. I hope and pray a switch has been flipped. Edited May 19, 201510 yr by DirtySox
May 19, 201510 yr QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ May 18, 2015 -> 08:53 PM) When is it OK to get excited about Anderson, Hawkins and May? When Anderson starts walking more than 2% of the time, when Hawkins starts striking out less than 35% of the time and when May has an SLG more than .001 higher than his (BABIP-inflated) OBP. Slightly facetious given their other talents but there's pretty big flaws with all of them that I need to see corrected before I'm majorly excited.
May 19, 201510 yr QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2015 -> 09:10 PM) Doubled his walk total! Well, hot damn. Thought oughta get it up over 2%.
May 19, 201510 yr Another solid start from Junior Guerra. I hope he gets a shot if we need 5th starter help.
May 19, 201510 yr QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 18, 2015 -> 09:09 PM) Holy Moly! Anderson with TWO walks tonight. I hope and pray a switch has been flipped. Amen to that. It's not even the walks so much as him showing signs of improved plate discipline...let's hope this is the start of a trend with him.
May 19, 201510 yr QUOTE (raBBit @ May 18, 2015 -> 11:50 PM) He was out all of 2014. Those stats are from 2013 but he was almost dominant pitching out of the bullpen in the PCL. My bad
May 19, 201510 yr Recap posted. Lots of big nights on offense, and some good pitching from Guerra and Heidenreich too.
