Odd considering they have Storen, who I believe is #4 or 5 in MLB for save leaders. Lots of teams upgrading at positions that don't need upgrades this week.

Its been said that Papelbon will only waive his no-trade if he is assured he will be their closer.

I was just wondering about that, as there is Storen... On one hand, that's classy of him (0% surprising), considering he's been less than subtle about wanting away from Philadelphia- on the other, he's just protecting his value. I don't think his vesting option specifies games finished as a closer, but I'm not one to delve into the fine print on someone's contract.

It does specify "games finished" which would be tough to attain if you're not a closer.

Well, I certainly hope he washes his clothes.
