White Sox Prospects of the Month - July 2015

Featured Replies

July was a hot month on the farm, with a large number of strong performances on both sides of the ball. It was hard to narrow it down, but Dan found a way, and here are the Top White Sox Prospects of July.

Who are you most excited about?

Hitting wise, Alvarez intrigues me just because of his story. To have success with such little experience is pretty great. I like MJ, but I think he'll end up getting traded.

Pitching, has to be Montas. Either in the bullpen or the rotation, I don't care really. I just want to see him soon.

Agreed about Alvarez. He's an interesting guy you can't help but root for. Montas is the obvious guy to be excited about pitching-wise but I think Adams is a really good prospect too. Hope he gets back to High A soon.

Dan what about Eric Johnson ? Didn't he have a recent string of giving up 1 run in 40 innings ?

i like the list and i was really impress. i never thought that there was a nice group of nice looking prospects.

i was mildly surprise that there was a couple, at least for me, that they are missing, in my opinion, several more that i am impress with.

hitters - Jacob May, Tim Anderson.

pitcher - Jordan Guerrero, Thad Lowry.

now the reason, Anderson is putting up similar numbers he has since last yr, an avg of over 300. i believe this is an honorable mention.

the pitchers are steay,

but i will admit, the rookie league is outstanding with individual great performances.

either way, you guys did a great job.

I seriously cannot wait to get to follow Victor Velasquez, Johan Cruz, Seby Zavala, Jake Jarvis, and Antonio Rodriguez next year in Kanny.

Seems like there are more intriguing prospects in the low minors than most years.

No Erik Johnson?

also you should tweet at the teams and/or players. They'd probably love to hear these articles and give them a retweet.

I would have to say I'm most excited about Adams. Look forward to watching him progress. Thanks for the write up!

position player -- alvarez.

Although I have to admit, i'm intrigued by two guys who didn't make the list -- Jacob May and Jake Peter.

pitching -- Adams.

Johnson no longer qualifies as a prospect.

Good point on the tweets at the players, we've done that before, just didn't this time.

Johnson only pitched 15 innings in July so I think I shafted him in place of others. He certainly pitched very well.
