Terrible pitching ever since Lackey miracle in game 1

The Cubs lineup is obviously solid but it has really been incredible how bad the Cardinals pitchers have looked. They are consistently missing their spots by a lot. Now to be fair, a team like the Sox might not take advantage of it because they aren't patient but there have just been an incredible amount of breaking balls and fastballs left in places that are easy for a hitter to hit hard.

not sure I understand the approach the cards have taken to a lot of Cubs hitters. First pitch fastball away to Baez is about the only thing I don't throw him. 4 straight breaking balls to a lefty who dives out over the plate? Gotta bust rizzo in at least once per AB

Agreed but that was just an awful pitch. Cruz wanted that pitch way off the plate.

Good assessment. The Cubs offense is good enough where you have to be reasonably good on the mound, and they devour mistakes.

Love that Cruz earns a major league paycheck because he can "handle the staff" yet is utterly terrible at doing so.

Shocked at how bad his defensive numbers are

What an awful swing

amazing how undisciplined the cardinals hitters have been

Does Hoyer get an extra playoff share for that homer?

I think the cardinals just want to go home.

Rodney can't find the plate.

Any chance Holliday actually has a decent at bat? I tend to think no.

Maybe Holliday will realize there's a playoff series goino on.

That was the worst 2-1 swing I've ever seen.

Rodney can't find the plate at all and you swing at that junk Holliday?

You are not kidding.

Sit down Holliday, you're awful

Garbage from Holliday.

Honestly think the White Sox would beat this Cardinals team in 4.

The Cubs could use an actual long reliever.

So we won the best of 3 :)

Cubs can thank Don Cooper for that.

The Cardinals plate discipline is horrendous.

Last time I can remember Rodney firing the arrow before a game was over was against the Angels - and Trout & Pujols had a hayday...
