ALCS- Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays

Featured Replies

Tulo ends up batting there, would have been another four out save for Davis. Crisis averted.

Did Greg predict a loss this specific game or just Toronto winning the series overall?

I guess he will return soon to bet against Ventura and Cueto.

That's a wrap.

Stop pitching Hawkins

Hosmer getting more confident again with his batting stroke.

Hawkins sucks. Can't believe he's still pitching.

Gibbons should have walked Morales to set up another DP and kept it at a four run deficit.

:P WTF. Did the announcers have to mention maddon? Hahaha

Hochevar instead of Davis is scary...even with a five run lead.

But bottom of Toronto order coming up.

You don't send Davis out there though..

Early game tomorrow. No need to waste Davis

Man I wish our FO would get things right. Missed on Volquez and Morales.

Love some Salvy he's so awesome.

Right, they could have used Morales or Duffy/Medlen as well.

That's why walking Morales to set up the DP and keeping the lead at four would have made the decision a bit more interesting for Yost.

Meanwhile, Royals have only given up four true hits in their last 18 innings of work.

5 years $7 million.

Royals win the World Series, they definitely rip it up and reward him, like we did with Alexei in a way.

Yes. He's the heart and soul of that team. Morales was one of the most underrated signings from last winter. When you're going good everything works. When you suck, it all sucks.

Didn't realize Price was 2-6 with a 5.04 post-season ERA. That's Kershaw-esque. Close to a must win with the suddenly confident Cueto looming for Game 3.

Seems like a lot of big names struggle in the postseason.

One theory presented was overwork or new innings highs (see someone like Arrieta) having that catch up in the postseason, especially when you're there year after year like the Rays or Dodgers or Cardinals...

Volquez was at 95-97 yesterday, Ventura already amped up by that crowd...97-98 mph in the first.

Just 4 hits surrendered in last 19 innings now.

As good as the Jays' offense is, having Gordon and Rios at 8/9 in the order shows their overall depth in terms of quality...

Price getting the Royals to swing at everything, big DP. Zobrist might end up back at first with the review.

Tulo just does not look right, he probably needed more time off from that injury

Rios just does not lay out for anything....and then kind of an emergency inside out hack from Goins that somehow squeezed in down the 3b line. Royals also benefitted from a nifty defensive play from Escobar and Encarnacion falling asleep at 2b and getting picked off the previous inning or the lead would be 2-0 or 3-0.

Shadows still giving pitchers the advantage.

Can't believe Price is 0-6 in six post-seasons starts, two victories came in relief.

12 in a row retired by Price.

If the Royals hadn't swept the Tigers the last three games of 2006 (giving the Twins the division...Detroit would eventually get to the World Series as the WC behind Verlander)..they would have had the worst record in the majors and selected David Price.

TB finished one game worse and the Royals took Moustakas, the Cubs selected Josh Vitters.

Wieters, Bumgarner, Heyward and Mesoraco were all on the board for Chicago to choose instead.

Laz Diaz is awful.

Royals don't give up.

Goins way too aggressive this inning...Moustakas' first post-season RBI, was just 2/24 before that at-bat.

I usually won't do this to a non-pitcher, but this game is on Goins if Toronto loses. What the f*** is he doing out there?

Crazy that Price might end up 0-7 in seven postseason starts.... and he's going to get $200 million plus.

Cubs are going to have to think twice.
