100%. Talked with him in person on multiple occasions. I also love the time their were reports of his call up and when he was coming and Chicago media was reporting one thing and I am reporting another. Reason being, I was reporting facts from the horses mouth. Other interesting stories had as well (in terms of how process works, communication, clubhouse, ozzie, etc), that I won't go into, but he's a super intelligent guy and was a humble kid. His dad was also a great guy.

Without getting too much into details, it was verified.

Great stuff. I'm impressed you were able to remember that thread considering it was over 11 years ago. Fun to see some posters that I had forgotten about, as well as my comment about seeing the Barons when the come to Jackson. I definitely ended up doing that, though I didn't see McCarthy pitch.
