I don't want to be this first one to gag at a post of "wait, it ain't over till it's over stuff." I will do it for all you folks. Even if we lose tonight there are still 2 more games and if we win those games we will be 1/2 game in front. We still have a chance. You just hope you can see some fire from the offense.

What the heck happened to Loaiza tonight?

Anybody just see that on FSN? Carlos faked throwing the ball into the Minn. crowd and kept it to himself after the third out. He wont be having a fun time in that corner the next two games with moves like that.

It's time to break up the core:

Koney - gone

Maggs - trade to Cards for Renteria (3 yrs 18mil left on contract).

Lee - lock up - best bat potential on team right now

Crede - keep

Everett - sign at a low cost

RF - bring someone up (Borchy)

Colon - lock up - best arm on team right now

Garland - lock up - 2nd best arm on team

Beurhle - try to lock up

E-LO - go 1 yr at a time

Alomar - sign him up (both)

Thomas - 6mil isn't that bad for 100 RBI DH

I think we can afford all that.  Colon is a Freak.  Don't let him get away.

Lee has Bonds potential.  Don't let him get away.

I agree with almost everything. But Carlos having Bonds potential, come on. What has he done to make you think he can be one of the greatest hitters ever. He looks like he will be an allstar but he hardly looks like a hall of famer.

Sounds good to me. I wouldn't be complaining.

ROFL

If it wasn't for Wunsch (and his 10 minutes delivery to home plate) our relief corp would be perfect tonight. Something positive to think about,

Into the 9th we go.

do not go boys

Here comes the game tying grand slam :)

Now FSN is just muting their broadcast. Cant hear a damn thing.

Frank and Maggs must be having a contest on who can groundout the fastest and the mostest.

Not a grand slam hoem run, but at least a one run HR by Ev

Everett hits a homerun into the upper deck section in right field. The fans throw it back. 5-2 Twins.

Everett hits a homer! Maybe he is making a statement to the rest of the team... LIKE WAKE UP!

RALLY MONKEY TIME :D

nice upper tank bomb everett... wish there was someone on base though........i guess we cant have it both ways huh......

I love it, Cubs win 3-2 and wont gain any ground because Houston is killing Colorado. Im just trying to find some positive out of today because I sure as hell couldnt see it from the Sox game.

maybe hawkins won't be able to pitch tomorrow

don't think we got a ton from Frank, Maggs and Konerko tonight

Konerko looks at the ground again after he hits the ball, what the hell is he doing?

Looked like a good battle there by Konerko vrs Hawkins, but of course it ends in a groundout.

twins fans throwing white sox on the field

wait til the Yankees get ahold of this group

I don't think I've mentioned this enough tonight. I want Konerko off this team next year. He is way to streaky and gets paid to much money.

Who knew it, Guzman bobbles the ball at second and still has time to throw out konerko.

2 outs

Fans in center field are throwing socks onto the field. Delays game for a second.

Just noticed that out of our 9 hits tonight Everett's homer was the first for extra bases.

Manny Ramirez may be overpaid but he get's it done.

(1112 OPS vs LH, 983 vs RH) (1036 OPS @ home, 994 OPS on road)

Compare this to Maggs:

(1056 OPS vs LH, 912 vs RH) (957 OPS @ home, 941 OPS on road)

If you look at Maggs splits against pitchers he's hit/miss. Little in between.

He either beats the snot out of a guy or can't do a thing against him.

Renteria:

(1128 OPS vs LH, 794 OPS vs RH) (895 OPS @ home, 831 OPS on road)

Lee:

(648 OPS vs LH, 918 vs RH) (888 OPS @ home, 818 OPS on road)

Lee's weakness is Renteria's strength.

Lee & Renteria will cost about 14mil. Renteria has 18/3 left on his contract if the SOX pick up the 2 option yrs. Otherwise it's 5/1. Lee can be signed for 6/7mil a yr.

So you can have both next yr for about 13mil. Saving 7mil on Maggs & Val.

To this team 7mil is a lot.

oh pops it up.. who would have thunk it..........all i got to say now is f***

Question:

why are the twins fans all waving rally SOCKS i mean there wearing twins shirts/jerseys and they are waiving WHITE SOX.
