May 14, 20169 yr Anderson again? Or Hawkins? The most encouraging thing about this week (in terms of all levels, rookie ball through Chicago) is the play of Tim Anderson...with so many holes opening up in Chicago over the next couple of seasons, they have to develop at least one position player on their own or they'll run out of resources and end up bargain dumpster diving (which, largely has worked out pretty well this time around, but doesn't work as a sustainable philosophy).
May 14, 20169 yr Davidson has also been on a decent streak. Two 2bs tonight and has that batting average over .260, a major jump for him. Spencer Adams also throwing well tonight -- six Ks and only two hits through five innings.

He is quietly flying under the radar here. I've noticed as well. Great stretch for him which he has had very little of since he's been in Charlotte. Edited May 14, 20169 yr by SoxAce
May 14, 20169 yr Even if Davidson went on the tear of the century, still not 100% convinced they would give him Avi's at-bats in the heat of a pennant race and really trust he could hold down the DH job at the big league level. But maybe it will restore a glimmer of trade value...one of those "down and out" NL franchises might be willing to provide him an opportunity like we sort of gave Mike Olt last year.

May 15, 20169 yr http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...ams-impressive/ Recap Posted. Knights streak ends, but Anderson and Davidson stay hot. Danish and Adams both stellar in their starts, while Kannapolis can't recover after giving up early lead.

Except Olt was a claim. Looking to trade Davidson for a major league piece may not be realistic (unless maybe it's for a reliever or something).

Looking to trade Davidson for a major league piece may not be realistic (unless maybe it's for a reliever or something). He has to go in a package with Erik Johnson and Carlos Sanchez. At any rate, our minor league return is starting to look a little bit better. Chris Devenski had three consecutive solid starts for the Astros before getting rocked today against Boston. I think he was something like a mid 20's selection, 25th round I want to say.
