Yeah, you'd hope Fulmer would get himself straightened out but he's having enough issues you just wonder if our recent run of success with pitching can continue forever...I'm sure he'll be fine in the end, and there's no reason to talk about him being a reliever (for now), but dang.

Between him and Engel, taking some definite steps back on progression tracks this year. May hasn't shown that he's much more than a 4th/5th outfielder, either. Trey's muddling along with a 675ish OPS.

Something is up with him. Possible Future Sox article to come.

Yeah he's facing hitters who make him throw strikes. Surprised at how bad he's been

Nicky Delmonico will save the day (or not)!

I guess Tyler Danish is looking like he MIGHT be a legit prospect again, although he still seems to be slated more for the pen.

Last year was a lot more fun to keep track of on the prospects front when Montas started to go on his tear.

Didn't Buddy Bell say in raBBit's interview that Fulmer was working on mechanical changes. If so, that might explain his struggles assuming they are meaningful changes.

I just knew Fulmer would breeze through AA. My biggest worry was the Sox would rush him, not that he'd be looking at a 5+ ERA two months into the season. I'm sure he'll be fine long term but...didn't see that one coming.

Other than Anderson and occasionally Adams the top talent our system has really blown so far this year.

I feel like the people who thought Fulmer was going to move super fast never watched him pitch. He isn't Sale or Rodon. There are legitimate reasons why many scouts think he's a reliever. He's also not in the SEC anymore. One of my concerns watching him at Vanderbilt was that he didn't throw that many strikes. AA hitters aren't swinging at that s*** and major league hitters definitely aren't. I still wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Sox bullpen to close the year though.
