May 28, 20169 yr BUMPED JUST FOR ROBIN'S IDIOTIC LINE-UP No Eaton. Sands hitting 5th. Rollins actually hitting down in the order when the only pitchers he can hit are left-handed. If our manager thinks so little of Garcia, maybe the GM needs to make a change and actually find a hitter he does believe in. Edited May 28, 20169 yr by caulfield12

May 28, 20169 yr It would be typical White Sox if they traded for James Shields when there are about 5 other more obvious problems with the team. Albers/Duke Rollins against RHP Catchers not hitting Garcia/Lawrie cooling off Abreu, where did he go?
May 28, 20169 yr QUOTE (kitekrazy @ May 25, 2016 -> 07:53 PM) Just face it. It won't get better until this team is gutted from the top down. Front office is what needs gutting. Edited May 28, 20169 yr by GreenSox
May 28, 20169 yr Oh, I forgot, failed miserably to bring in a "good" (not even asking for great anymore) bat this offseason...especially a LHed one.
May 28, 20169 yr They could make some changes right now just using Charlotte. Rollins is embarrassing against right handed hitters...play Saladino, he can handle it defensively at least, and letting him hit is an investment, which is more than you get letting Rollins hit. They could dump Sands and call up any number of guys from Charlotte. Why don't they? Is it yet another Robin/Cooper thing?
May 28, 20169 yr I've figured out ONE way in the future to make the Sox less dysfunctional and maybe a .500 team again. (This team isn't a .500 team). OK ... we have to copy the Yankees old deal where as a large market team we acquire TWO closers. Now the Sox bullpen has been really really poor the Ventura era. It's so bad now it's unfathomable it could be this bad. Robertson, however, is GREAT. What we need is another closer to become the setup man. With LIGHTS OUT relievers to close it down, your odds of winning grows substantially. I'm serious. What do you think of my plan??? The last time we had two good ones was when ... when Thonrnton was still great? Before he turned to s***? Every year we acquire guys in the bullpen that on paper SHOULD be able to get some outs. Every year they turn into JAGs, (Just Another Guy). Folks .... Hahn needs to acquire two highly paid closer types. It's the only way to reverse this curse of rotten bullpen. The longer we pretend stiffs like Albers, Duke, Petricka, etc., I could name 20 if I looked up the rosters of the last couple years, the longer we are going to SUCK at a maximum winning rate of about .480. BUILD A BACK END OF THE BULLPEN HAHN. Edited May 28, 20169 yr by greg775
May 28, 20169 yr Wish I could just stop watching... at some point I really need to. I used to get bored and stop watching when they lost in the early 2000's... wish I could get back to that.

That's been his biggest accomplishment by far the last five years or so, protecting his job.
May 28, 20169 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 28, 2016 -> 05:24 PM) KW at least has been successful at getting White Sox fans to turn on each other for not supporting the team...instead of focusing their anger at the most appropriate targets. That's been his biggest accomplishment by far the last five years or so, protecting his job. Seriously, though. When does fandom get fun? It's like you knew they were going to blow the lead but you didn't want to believe it.
May 28, 20169 yr You know there's a BIG problem when fans feel like there might be more benefit to the long-term future of the organization when they lose (and openly root for that to occur)...whether the losing's consequence/perceived benefit is about higher draft picks or Robin Ventura getting fired, Hahn, KW, etc.
May 28, 20169 yr Closest I've ever come to questioning my fandom. I'm in Denver and forgot to track the game. Checked the mlb site on my phone and a wave of sadness and disgust washed over me. For this to happen so soon after the Texas game...
