June 4, 20169 yr So Cabrera is out for the Detroit series at the very least and we decide to bring up a bullpen arm while Jackson is still hurt and Cabrera gone. Oh and not to mention we just had a day off and our top 3 pitchers are going this weekend. Why would we not bring up another hitter? We have two healthy guys on the bench right now and one plays catcher and the other is Jerry Sands.
June 4, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 07:36 PM) I bet they call up Coats after tonight's game When I saw he wasn't in the Charlotte lineup, I thought the same thing.
June 4, 20169 yr Author QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 07:36 PM) I bet they call up Coats after tonight's game Why wouldn't they just do that in the first place?
June 4, 20169 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 4, 2016 -> 12:38 AM) Why wouldn't they just do that in the first place? In case they need a reliever tonight with guys tired from Wednesday
June 4, 20169 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 07:38 PM) Why wouldn't they just do that in the first place? Because Rodon was pitching tonight, and Sale and Q you know what you're getting.

June 4, 20169 yr Author QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 09:34 PM) Coats wasn't in the lineup for Charlotte tonight. Seems like you were right. Just so people know, L. Garcia got taken out of the game early so he could be the one coming up

June 4, 20169 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 08:39 PM) Just so people know, L. Garcia got taken out of the game early so he could be the one coming up L. Garcia...another "sterling" example of the "quality" in the Sox minor league system. Another stiff. Mark
June 4, 20169 yr QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) L. Garcia...another "sterling" example of the "quality" in the Sox minor league system. Another stiff. Mark I'd much rather see what Coats can do, but Leury is a threat on the basepaths and provides positional versatility so I can see going that route.
June 4, 20169 yr QUOTE (Señor Ding-Dong @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 11:39 PM) I'd much rather see what Coats can do, but Leury is a threat on the basepaths and provides positional versatility so I can see going that route. For sure. Just don't see Leury giving the team a jolt like a new guy would.
June 4, 20169 yr Author QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 11:45 PM) For sure. Just don't see Leury giving the team a jolt like a new guy would. I think we all just want to see someone new and see what they can do. It is always fun when a prospect comes up
