Wow! I'm shocked. Was so looking forward to checking in and seeing who we got for Colome and upon reviewing MLB.com there must be a mistake. Guessing Colome just not highly regarded. Can't imagine Hahn was asking for the moon. Very disappointing.

There are some pitchers I'd love to get but might require creativity. Package a couple of our guys and/or take back some salary. Bet Phils would love to unload Dave Robertson (signed through 2020). They've got a couple of pitchers, such as Spencer Howard to ponder. Maybe Colome for Howard and Robertson. Maybe Robertson will return to health and form and Sox can move him next year.

Trent Grisham has been trending up and might make sense.

If we are entertaining trading Lopez, I'd look to Tampa where Snell was just shut down for at least 4 weeks. Between Lopez and Colome, we might be able to extract serious prospects....i.e. Sanchez, Liberatore, Baz, etc.

Not sure who he would compare to among current Sox arms but Josiah Gray (Dodgers) would be a solid return. Spencer Howard (Phillies) would be a great get but would likely cost a great deal more than Colome. The idea of Gohara from Braves (LH fireballer w/issues) is interesting but a bit difficult to pigeonhole.

Gohara is a roll of the dice worth taking. Awful body and hasn't pitched since 2018 but he's shown he can strike out major leaguers. If he checks out physically, he might be a steal.

Seems like several Braves pitching prospects have slid back over last year or so (Wentz, Allard, Gohura).

Been following mock trades and none of the trade pubs seem to be discussing Colome or Bummer. Not sure if thats a deliberate stealthy move by Hahn or oversight by pundits but this trade season is really moving slowly.

Giants at .500 and sniffing distance of WC in Bochys last year. Doubt they try to move Wilson. Hoping Dodgers fixate on Bummer and offer Josiah Gray. The market for Colome doesn't appear too strong but Phillies could use him and Spencer Howard would be a great get.

Herein lies the problem

Padres have a fungible OFer I'd like....Hunter Renfro.

Dodgers are going to obtain bullpen help. Giants and Padres might not be sellers. Colome/Bummer might be best available option. Leverage.

I think the Dodgers make a lot off sense but not optimistic about a Hahn - Friedman faceoff.

Read where Gray has never lost a game as a starter since moving to pitcher from SS in college. SSS but great stuff and pedigree. The FG guys have him #5 in Dodgers system.

FanGraphs has him 110. Guessing at update time he takes a big jump since he has yet to lose a game and has great peripherals.

Dodgers Josia Gray (RHP) and Cody Thomas (LH OF w/pop and approaching rule 5) for Colome and Bummer...OR....Phillies Spencer Howard (RHP) straight up for Colome. Both deals seem fair and adress needs of both parties.

Dodgers match up nicely with WS. Josiah Gray is a AA RH fireballer who FG assigns a 50FV grade to. Currently ranked #5 in Dodgers system and 110 across all prospects. Dodgers said to be seeking LH relief.

Or as a sweetener in a multi-player deal. Rays can use him. He would step in as starting RF'r.

I do like targeting the Rays as trade partners and Sanchez would be a great get but maybe if we broadened the deal...something like Bummer, Colome (ex-Ray) and Jay for Sanchez and McClanahan, it would be more interesting to Rays and much more intrigueing for WS
