  1. Why was Marshall even inserted as first reliver up, when he is struggling constantly this year? Marshall doesn't have the pitch arsenal to come in such a intense stressful inning with zero outs and men on base. He can't throw strikes, weak FB and no command of his secondary pitches. TLR has done this several times this year. Put him on 10 day DL and let him work his mechanics out at Schaumburg.
  2. Usually when you try to post comedy/sarcasm online you usually should be creative enough so it's obvious when it's read, and/or add HA HA, LOL, or a smiley emoji.
  3. IMO Robert 100% will never out homer Eloy in a season if both healthy and they played the same amount of games. Steve Stone said last night they are doing this with out Eloy a Robert. Eloy being a potential 40HR guy and Robert a 30 HR guy. Btw, Eloy's strength and ability to hit opposite field HR's just because of strength or spray line drives makes him one the best in MLB.
  4. I could live with that too, but the bottom line is this lineup is WEAKER and Lynn is getting screwed!
  5. I get he struggled. However Burdi does have big time stuff! That's why the Sox wont give up on him. I would give him a shot. If he can't handle it then send back down. Lambert looked good in spring training and I cant believe he didn't make the team. Marshall isn't going to get any better. His fastball sucks and he cant get his secondary pitches in the zone. Way too many times this season to be a fluke.
  6. Just another insanely dumb decision by TLR. Oh and playing 1st base. Yeah I guess a .143 BA is better at first than Yerminator at .376! Plus Leury Garcia .209/.233/.267 at 2B vs Madrigal .295/.333/.375. I would be pissed if I were Lance Lynn.
  7. Agreed, Ruiz is having a fantastic season!
  8. You are right about that. He should never pitch in a high leverage situation ever again. Only use him when the game is way ahead or we are losing by a lot.
  9. Fine, then put him on assignment. Don't tell me they cant do that.
  10. Sorry, we have to agree to disagree, but it is a huge problem. Plus there are people in Charlotte better than him. It wouldn't hurt to send him down and work on his mechanics and pitches. Bring someone up, because frankly they couldn't do any worse than Marshall. I don't think you be so ok if let's say, he lost the game for us and were didn't have such a huge lead.
  11. News Flash! Sox have the best record in baseball and anybody they play will have a worst record. The Sox have to play who is scheduled. Thus far though, we are doing it impressively. If you are unimpressed, then you aren't a true Sox fan or just some casual fan unaware of real baseball facts. The realization which is more likely is you are either a Cubs fan trolling, or the biggest half glass empty contrarian on this forum.
  12. So awesome to crush the Twins and put them 9 games back of us. We now have another #1 stat...best winning % in MLB! It's so much fun watching these guys hit. Sadly the Cubs not beating the Indians the last two games sucks, as we are only one game up on the Indians. What concerns me more is why is Evan Marshall still on the team? Another horrific outing. He didn't get a single out. He gave up 1 hit and 2 BB's and although only credited with given up one earned run, he really gave 3 runs. In his 13 outings this season, that was the 7th time he has given up one or more runs in an inning. An occasional bad outing is acceptable, but this is happening way too often. Why are these stats acceptable?: ERA 7.43, in 13 innings, 15 hits, 11BB's and teams hitting .288 BA against him. His mechanics are all screwed up. He has to be sent down, traded....(fat chance) or put on assignment today and bring someone up. TLR has done this often this year where he pulls the starter with men on base and does not put the right stopper in to get out of the inning. The bullpen was suppose to be our strength this year. It was rated preseason #1 bullpen by MLB. Too many guys struggling that did well last well. This isn't Katz's fault either. Btw, kudos to Ruiz, he is very quietly having a great season.
  13. Agreed and great points. There are too many people here that think you need home runs to win baseball games. We lead the league in runs per game with one of the best pitching staffs! That's all I care about. Oh yeah, hence why we lead in run differential too. lol
  14. Good analogy on the glass half empty kind of guy. Sometimes I feel others, not all, tend to be like that and not appreciate what we have here!
  15. Forget '22, I think those players you listed and they could be this year's lineup in the playoffs. I would make a slight change in the order with same players. Anderson - SS Madrigal - 2B Robert - CF Abreu - 1B Jimenez - LF Mercedes - DH Vaughn - RF Moncada - 3B Grandal - C As far as the rotation for .22, if Rodon and Lynn are signed then someone has to be traded or moved to the bullpen. At that point I would like to see this rotation scenario: Giolito Kopech Lynn Cease Rodon I know a lot of if's and assumptions. I would trade Keuchel. Keep mind per Hahn, Crochet is a long term plan to be a starter. Anyway I know it's all speculation, but how fun is it that we have this much talent and potential problems to deal with.
  16. I do agree we don't need to debate any of these scenarios right now any further. Hopefully Robert and Eloy come back stronger than ever and Yermin and Vaughn are the real deal. Wouldn't that be a nice dilemma for Hahn? As far as the sprinting injuries, I agree they occur from hard sprinting with maximum effort in various sports and can happen to poorly fit or extremely fit athletes. However they can be potentially prevented from a daily routine of proper and efficient leg strength training, leg stretching exercises and a strong routine with maintaining maximum leg and hip flexibility. I know this only because I have a good friend who is a physical therapist for a successful orthopedic practice and they work with athletes all the time with these type of injuries. He works with pro, college and high school athletes.
  17. So far Hahn hasn't done that with Eloy or Robert (rising star players) and now we have them locked up.
  18. I'm not worked up...just puzzled. You just explained for us why you think a B is so amazing and off the charts. lol
  19. I think we are debating two different things. Let's be clear, I don't disagree with you that Eloy sucks as an OF. I know Vaughn is still new at it and maybe its not his future position. Ideally I want Robert to play just his CF portion. All I am saying is, if you have two huge bats like potentially Vaughn and Eloy will be, then I think Hahn and manager will want them in the lineup. Of course you can have Engel there and it improves immensely, but then you get weak inconsistent hitting. Btw, Robert's hip flexor injury is obviously from sprinting. However it also might have been caused from a lack of proper stretching or flexibility than sprinting. There are tons of fast sprinting outfielders in MLB who never have that injury.
  20. If Yermin finishes the year huge, and Hahn can get something too good to pass up in a trade, then of course I would be in favor of that. I do agree Eloy belongs DH. Even with Eloy at DH we still need another OF who can hit.
  21. Don't do it for me. I'm just telling you that your standards and criticism is too harsh. If you seriously think this team is only a B, then you are missing out on the fun of this potential magical season. We haven't had this great of a team in 16 years. Until it goes wrong I'm all in and giving them the credit they deserve through 33 games. It still cracks me up you think the Sox are only a B, but TLR gets a B grade. Btw, B is good grade, but Rick Hahn is not trying to build a B team! lol
  22. We do! Marshall sucks and needs to be sent down. I think Heuer will be ok and Foster's last few outings have been good.
