  1. Everyone should stay about 10 feet away from Limatime. Remember the difference between love and herpes is herpes is forever.
  2. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 26, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) I think he is better defensively, I dont care what Griffey was, A-row picks up his teammates and has been gold glove caliber this year. And he is the man in the clubhouse and is a work-a-holic, which is the opposite of Griffey who is known to be lazy. No thanks I dont understand the Griffey for Arow move. Arow is batting close to 300. Why would you take one of our consistant bats out of the lineup. Griffey would be more of a DH for us anyways. The only one I could see him replacing is Everett. I would rather get Vizquel and spend the rest on pitching. Our guys should start working towards what Arow and Pods are doing. Getting closer to 300.
  3. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad he didn't shank that dirtbag ump in Boston who was working second the night we got shut out. That was f***ing brutal. dat bish bet not show my kids up, dat bish don no who he fock wit, he fock wit me, he fock wit da wrong guy. I am da god dam manager of dis focking team.
  4. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) LOO BISH!!!! WHO AAAA JOO TO SAA WHA HEE GON HAA TO LII WIT AND WAA HE DON HAA TOO LII WIT.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Remember this aspect of any trade: Ozzie loves Ryan Sweeney. Of all the minor league players, I feel like Sweeney is the one guy Ozzie wouldn't want to give up. I agree on this. Brian Anderson is the closest to being major league ready. That makes him a big bargaining chip and the best from the OF class in the minors. I bet they dangle him. They have Dye, Arow and Pods locked up through next year. When Dye comes off the books is when Sweeney would be projected to be ready. Now as much as that is not popular belief with our guys. Sweeney is loved by Ozzie.
  6. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) solid game white sox. the only problem was garcia, but we'll let it slide. yeah, baby, yeah. Garcia pitches to the competition. If they are what he perceives as not good he pitches like crap. If its a playoff type game he is rock solid. He could be a 20 game winner if he ever decided to show up for all the starts.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) Ive learned to live with the Eat s*** because of Nuke and all his awesomeness.... but using the word Jew the way you did is wrong and unnacceptable and shouldnt ever be used. Im not even jewish and i find that completely wrong.. you lost a lot of respect. With all the political correctness going around I seriously need to file a class action lawsuit against Notre Dame and their obvious racist designation of the "Fighting Irish", after I win that I am going after that focker and his lucky charms. And what is with the use of GREEN for sarcasm. Must be a hidden slight against the Irish. LOL HE DIDNT MEAN IT THAT WAY, SOMETIMES WE NEED TO BACK AWAY FROM THE PC BANDWAGON.
  8. QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) I agree, but you don't base a whole year on a single game, and probably the worst game of the year for us, and it was Eric Castillias, or whatever his name is. That jagbag said last week that if we were in the AL East we would be in 4th place. Well I wasnt exactly impressed by his bad pitching and not so good situational hitting. Their stadium is an old dump that used to flood when it drizzled until the sodfather redid their field. They are a trendy group who believe they are entitled due to their one championship. I hope we beat their bandwagonning asses in October so I can write Eric Castratous a nice email. HEY ERIC, PWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) Did anyone hear the asshole today on ESPN 1000? The guy that was replacing Dan Patrick, stated that he went to the Sox-Boston game on Saturday and was totally disappointed with our club and Cellular. He stated that we aren't a very good team at all, and is surprised that we are where we are at. He said our hitting sucked, as well as our bullpen, and that we only had starting pitching. He also bad mouthed Cellular and the fans, saying that it was a boring park, and the fans weren't entusiastic about the team. He said our seventh inning stretch was a takeoff from the Cubs and that there is no reason that anyone should go to a game there. If it was Eric Castillias then it makes sense. He is a no nothing blowhard who jerks it to the red sawx and their dump of a stadium. Sorry we dont blow our loads when a popup to the 2nd baseman happens like the bosawx fans. OH MY GAWD MILLLLLLAAAHHHH, HE HE JUST MISSED IT. And Gooch goes back 2 feet near the outfield grass to record the out.
  10. LETS GIVE THEM A HELL YEAH. NICE WIN AGAINST THE MINOR LEAGUERS WE ARE RUNNING THE TABLE AGAINST THESE BASTAGES
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) I completely agree with you. Some people think that he's the best pitcher ever. It's not like he had a 0.00 ERA in the minors. He'll have games where he looks amazing....and games where he struggles. And like you said, it's 100 times better to see him pitch than Shingo from a flat-out fun aspect. What bobby needs to do is to be able to throw that curve for a strike. If he does that consistantly its a different story. When he doesnt locate it and throws it in the dirt, he becomes a one pitch pitcher.
  12. Bobby kept the ball around the plate. The royals did what you have to do with a guy like Jenks, eliminate the curve and work the count till you get a fastball, put a very short quick swing on it. The balls velocity will take care of itself. This is just part of growing pains. The more he gets out there, the better.
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) Anyone forget how sweet Dye is? PS Jenks will get some work tonight, here comes some gas. And if Marte doesnt get in at all.......... Jenks is going to fock up the AAA Royals tonight.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) The Sox and Marlins are still enough apart for there to be no negotation window between Burnett and the Sox. Levine reported the Sox would be willing to offer AJ 30 million. However, before they can set aside a window for his agent, the Sox and Marlins would have to get closer on a deal. The major holdup is the Marlins would like a veteran starter in return and may have to swing another deal (to get that veteran) prior to (or after) picking up Brandon/Marte. There has also been some talk of Lowell potentially coming. Basically put, there is definately some smoke to this, but nothing imminent. I figure that they will go after Redmond after they trade Burnett. Its a total marlins move.
  15. QUOTE(daa84 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) robinventura23 reported that levine threw out numbers on a deal the sox were working on for burnett 3yr/30 mil. at abotu 5:15. i flipped on the radio since he posted it and ive heard nothing. seriously guys if you are just posting s*** to get a rise out of everyone on this board, id kick you in the nuts harder than that chick in southsideirish71s avatar Avatar has been updated. But for daa84's point of reference.
  16. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) He was awesome in Sandlot!!!!!! I forsee him getting some action tonight, cant wait to see him break off a Curve on someone. I just get a kick out of when he hits 99, then 99 and then once again 99, then breaks off a sick curve. After we picked up this guy from the Angels in the offseason, I was curious if he would ever regain that velocity. Boy has he ever.
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) im in dude. Welcome aboard. Jenks Rocks
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) All Signs point to yes!!! Join the club
  19. I think they are going to use him a bit more. But they will probably ease him into more late game situations. As long as he can keep his control in check we are witness to a nice power arm that can help us in the stretch and hopefully in the playoffs.
  20. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) We will not see Frank again this year... maybe not again in a White Sox uniform, ever. I'm happy that if it had to happen, it happened before the trade deadline. This sucks for Frank and for the Whitesox. Hopefully its not as bad as it seems. He was an intimidator in the lineup and as a PH.
  21. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) I'm not sure which colour you'd want to go with so I posted them all. Avatar Sigs I hope you like one of them. To the rest of you, the background works when viewed on Borderline grey skin WOW is all I can say. This looks awsome. Thanks for this DePloderer., you are the man.
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) I hate playing for the best team in baseball to. :fyou Burnett we don't need you either Yeah and last year it was Freddy Garcia will be a Yankee. He wants to pitch in New Yawk. Dont believe Boston Gammons, he speaks with forked tounge.
  23. QUOTE(whitesox89 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 02:13 PM) Gammons is on ESPNEWS He is probably getting ready to sing, CHOWDA CHOWDA THE RED SAWX ARE DA BEST. Besides that I dont expect anything of substance from him.
  24. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) well from what i can see, if we get burnett, either JC/duke will be moved to the bullpen. Try one of those guys as setup/closer type How about trying someone at closer that shops at the big and tall store that is already on the team, JENKS!!!!!!. JC will probably be moved to the pen, filthy stuff and imagine facing him for one or two innings only. He could be unhittable. It however makes more sense to move El Duque in the pen so we can save his arm for the playoffs.
