I've been searching for the seriously written article about how beckham has potential to be a hall of famer. Failing miserably however. It was a large thread on soxtalk, I think it was last year. Thought there could be a few good laughs in there.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 09:10 PM) What I would like to point out is that this definitely opens up plenty of playing time for Viciedo, so we will see once and for all what the Sox have in him. This sucks a big one though. OOOOhhh.... I was waiting to see if someone would say it. I wasn't going to. Let's go Viciedo!
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 02:37 PM) And right on cue... http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2014-04...-alexei-ramirez Semien plate patience/quality at-bats article. I must be looking at different at bats.
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 04:58 AM) Kudos to Semien for getting back up near .250 after that horrendous start. Folks, it will be major buzzkill for that guy to be sent down when Beckham comes back. He's ready to be a big leaguer. He obviously has the mentality not giving up after that 1 for 19 or whatever it was. Just trade Beckham now for a bag of balls. It's Semien time. It'll be a gross misjustice shipping him back to the minors. Don't tell me how to live my life. Semien needs to prove he is worth a damn. So far he has not. But I hope he does prove himself because Beckham could certainly demand at least a quality reliever.
  5. Is there any chance Chuck Garfein won't report on the Sox in the future? Or is he considered a popular fan choice?
  6. Fantasy team update: dropped avi already, but still have alexei! And Matt Lindstrom...sigh
  7. good swing on an inside pitch. Atta boy Avi. Yes Alexei!!! love that guy.
  8. Great at bat! Great Hit! I love this s***.
  9. Shields is old! he should of been out of the game years ago, but he can't stay home becuae he hates his wife.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 07:12 AM) Then sick back dude. Lots of today's coming at you. Personally I think we gel and take a step towards 90. I like the energy. I'm not a cubs fan, I can't afford to be accepting of error filled baseball, and rookie pitchers being set up for failure. Ventura is the one that is chillin, just like he did last year acting as if everything will work itself out. I didn't get to watch EJ last season, but he never did that s***. Hopefully it is not a situation similar to Nate Jones.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 04:01 AM) That's a lot of stress. How many wins do you predict for the Sox this year? 75
  12. I think I'll choose being concerned now if that is okay.
  13. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 05:36 PM) They both like to toke. They have a bond you just can't explain, man. Yeah. I have heard texans are a little particular about the way their smoke is rolled.
  14. good thread. Our pitching staff has been so good for so long I've taken it for granted. I haven't really cared whether or not Bmac, hudson, or santiago do good. Hopefully I won't have to, but in general I hope the players that leave here do well, especially 2005 players. Uribe was my favorite, with his outlaw move of charging slow rollers with a backhand. Currently, it looks like Dunn and Viciedo will be leaving next, and I'll rooting for them, even though it won't be sad to see them go. fingers still crossed for Viciedo.
  15. Looking forward to watching Abreu! Hoping it's the real deal (don't need speculated confirmation from anyone, just stating). I'm also excited about watching Erik Johnson. Haven't heard too much hype around here for him.
  16. hahaha.. hawk is killing me with describing the excitement level of this team. Sounds like Joe Theisman or even dierdorf. and then that happens.
  17. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Apr 3, 2014 -> 09:46 PM) Arcia knocks in the go ahead run and does fist pumps while staring into our dugout? What a b****. i was more angry with him pimping his line drive to center field, he was posing like it was a walk off.
