Turk Wendel trade talks

Featured Replies

A source of mine has told me that the White Sox are aggressively pursueing Turk Wendel in the free agent market. My source, an intern who works in the front office, told me that the Sox are interested in the right handed reliever who can bring experience to a young Sox pen.

never heard of the guy can anyone thats knows something about him give us a scouting report on him or something

God I hope this is just a joke from a stoner. :sleep

The fact that the Sox are supposedly "aggressively" going for a chump who was released mid-season by the Rockies is a warning signal for bulls***.

I say we get him for the sole fact that he promotes good hygeine.

I mean, there is never a wrong time to brush your teeth.

How could there be trade talks if he is a free agent?

It's a troll

BYE TROLL!!!

Is this THE Turk Wendell who had a 7.02 ERA for the Colorado Rockies in 2004. Halleujah the World Series is ours for sure now. ;)

Yes, but was with limited action due to injury. He has now recovered and is stuff is as good as ever.

Turk Wendel could be the missing link to our bullpen. He could teach Arnie Munoz and Felix Diaz how to perform in the clutch and help them with their stuff.

I don't know about you guys but i would rather go after john franco. He has alot of potential. :rolly

Not a bad idea. He's a veteran arm that could help lead us to the promised land. :rolly

I know, that is why i suggested him. :headshake

The Sox have been good about picking up guys from the scrap heap for cheap---Loiaza, Politte, Gordon. It's a low risk, high reward type thing. It couldn't hurt to get more competition in the pen. He doesn't excite me, I haven't followed Wendell lately, yet he could surprise

Sign him to a minor league contract and invite him to Spring Training as a non-roster invitee. Why not.

We sign him, then hope we can trade him. :rolly :P

I know that Dude is probably a troll. But you know what I wouldn't doubt the Sox doing that. They seem to like the Washed up type 37 -40 yr old range pitchers. Just check out Mike Jackson.

Will Robert Person be back from his Achilles' to get an invitation to Spring Training in 05? I know they were fairly stoked about him last year.
