  1. This game is better satire than anything SNL will do this year
  2. Eloy's raw power is never more apparent than on his oppo tacos, which almost never look like HRs off the bat to me.
  3. Trade anyone outside the top 5 for Whit Merrifield pls
  4. White Sox (63-80) are currently on pace to win 71.3 games, but the remaining schedule is not particularly daunting: 3 vs Royals 3 @ Mariners 3 @ Twins 3 @ Tigers 3 vs Indians 4 vs Tigers The combined road opponent's winning percentage is 0.438, the home opponent's winning percentage is .403 I'm curious what ya'll think the final win total for the White Sox is, and in particular if they beat the original O/U (74.5 at most places, 76 at another). Personally, I think we go 12-7 to get to 75 wins, showing once again that Vegas knows best.
  5. Passan is reporting that dealin Dave has been fired by the Red Sox. He's accomplished a ton with multiple teams, he seems like he'd be an asset for whatever team gets him. Probably a pipe dream as long as we have both Kenny and Rick, but Dombrowski actually started his career with the white sox (from 78-86). He was born and raised in Chicago. We have a young team that shoud be great very soon. If the Sox were interested, it seems like we would be an attractive landing place for him.
  6. Stone was just begging for that to happen with his talk about how you'd much rather face Goodwin than Trout (although, obv that is true)
  7. Timmy's swag makes me moist.
  8. In the 2nd half ReyLo is 2nd in the MLB with a 6.6% HR/FB rate and 5th with a 28.1 Hard Hit %, which is definitely the path to beating your peripherals. My concern just comes from the fact it is rare these days to see someone maintain those numbers without having the stuff to have great K numbers too (Although, ReyLo is 42nd in the second half with a 21.8 K% which is in line with his minor league numbers, but is much better than anything he's done for an extended amount of time in the MLB).
  9. Not that it really matters, but do ya'll think he has a chance to open the year as the #1 prospect in baseball?
  10. Even if we look at just his second resurgent half https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2019&month=31&season1=2019&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 Gio and Reylo are 13th and 14th at 1.6 fWar, but ReyLo's 4.79 xFIP is the highest until 36th place Julio Teheran's 5.01. But when ReyLo has been good, he has had stats like this. It's tough to live like that, but hopefully he can be the rare guy who consistently outperforms his peripherals. Better lucky than good?
  11. I've never seen a 3rd base coach that makes enough difference to get mad about, but we're getting damn close here
  12. Look, the approach is working for TA so whatever... But how the hell do you strike out on these 5 pitches against a guy who just walked in a run and threw a wild pitch
  13. Youth learning from Abreu's oft-touted veteran presence.
  14. Love to see encouraging signs from Collins. If he ends up being halfway decent, that would be such a boon for this lineup. LH power that can actually walk is such a need.
  15. That level of TWTW would get him a contract next year for sure
  16. Gio is cruising since the first inning.
  17. I'm missing Jason a lot more than I was missing Stone vs the Angels (and I say that as someone who really likes Stone, especially with Jason)
  18. Times like this I do feel some sympathy for Ricky. He's aggressively trying to win, pulling our pitcher after 4 (mediocre) innings for a PH even though there are two outs. But his PH options are Cordell, Goins, and Skole. Ouch
  19. The bottom of this lineup is so trash that walking McCann probably lowered our expected runs this inning
  20. I hadn't heard about this, could you post a link?
  21. We'd be out of this inning if Anderson/Garcia caught the first out
  22. TA seems way too insistent on making catches over his shoulder when there is an OF running in. He's learned to call off Eloy on those, which I guess is understandable, but that was easily Garcia's ball.
  23. No, they actually won't. ? But don't let me stop you from giving that straw man what for. You got this!
