Herrera will always have striking out Mike Trout. And by always, I mean a year from now when he needs a story for bring your parent to school day because he's out of baseball.

Can't ask for more than that from Gio against one of the best lineups in the league that saw him in his last start. Great effort tonight

I did, but I think it is way too early to write him off. He has admitted he basically did no preparation for part of the year. Once he started to figure it out, he got injured, then injured again. He hit 284/340/602 in June. He is only at 255/278/468 in August, but his BABIP is below 300 (part of that is his fault for hitting so many grounders though). It is a shame he didn't set the world on fire in his rookie year, but after Moncada, Anderson, and Gio, I am not going to ding him too much for that yet.

Marwin looked embarrassed after he hit that lol. "Ah shit, I didn't mean to hit it THAT far."

More "Hahnspeak" on Robert/Madrigal/Collins coming up
Feels more like an Arby's to me. Not that I feel anything anymore. Besides pain.

SMDH hasn't anyone taught Moncada you don't slide into 1st?

Ok fine, no double play remotely probable. And you started this by complimenting the bunts because they worked, so you are using hindsight too. But come on Cali, this isn't us somehow putting a 4 spot on a cy young candidate. Jurado has been getting rocked consistently for months. Expected runs go way down when you sacrifice outs, and this is even more true for a guy who needs help to get them. No reason to be doing that early in a game, and I'm not going to compliment RR for getting 1 run when he plays for 1 run, especially when way more than 1 run is a real possibility.

There was never a need to bunt, it was the 2nd and 3rd innings, with 0 outs, no double play possible, and bad pitchers throwing for both teams (although full credit to Detwiler who is having himself a night). Just because the small ball succeeded in moving 2 runs across doesn't mean it was a good decision. The HRs show what can happen when you let players swing away. Who sacrifice bunts with their lead-off hitter against a bum like Jurado?

The bunts produced back to back home runs?

LOL, Chuck had a real facepalm moment there asking southpaw if he is a lefty or a righty

I have a masters in engineering, so you can trust my napkin calculations which tell me the exit velocity of that ball was approximately 10 billion MPH.

Is Giolito an ace?
95% of the takes on this thread are that he is a strong #2 with some inconsistency because he is still young. Yet every bad Gio game we get "HAHAHA I CAN"T BELIEVE YOU IDIOTS THOUGHT HE WAS A HALL OF FAMER LOOOOL" and every good Gio game we get "HAHAHA I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU IDIOTS THOUGHT HE WAS A SHITTY 5 AT BEST" Is anyone even reading the thread? Who are ya'll even arguing with?

No one will try. One unofficial punishment for getting caught taking PEDs: your whole career is tainted. If you suck afterwards (beef), you were only good because of the roids. If you are good afterwards, you are back on the roids and getting away with it. If Cruz doesn't like it, tough, he shouldn't have cheated in the first place.

The Bill Walton Game: Sox vs what's your name again
Well this is the first time I've heard Bill Walton in my life, so, yes, I can be this clueless, asshat.
