  • The two most important parts of the rebuild are batting 5th and 6th and getting less PA's in the lineup.. I like Ricky as a tank commander, not as a competent manager.

  • But... left-handed hitting!!!

  • I think he reads this board and is just doing it to aggravate people here.

Goins being 2nd instead of Anderson, who is hitting like .450 this month, might be even worse than Jay (-0.7 fWAR) batting cleanup

*extreme Jon fox voice*

"it's all bad"

Jon Jay as the cleanup hitter is a joke.

Jon Jay as the cleanup hitter when Abreu, Eloy, McCann, and Tim are in the lineup should be fireable.

Nothing is more nonsensical than Jay batting cleanup.  Ricky and his lineups are hard to justify sometimes.

Wow, Ricky is really batting Jay cleanup between Abreu and Eloy because he is a lefty.  Does Ricky even have any supporters left?

Sometimes?

His one redeeming quality is the players like him.  I'm not even sure if that is a good thing or not.

Took my family to Minneapolis this weekend for the misses birthday and tonight's game. Cannot say that I am impressed with Target Field at all. Our stadium is just as nice as this one. Our food options and concessions, and fun zones are much better.

Just saw the lineup card. Is Ricky serious?

The Jay experience is just terrible. Should have just kept him on DL all season.

Lmfao. That would fit the Sox modus operandi. They luuv to aggravate their fanbase. I actually think they get enjoyment out of it.

Chris Sale was pronounced done for the season today. That closes the book on his 3 year stint in Boston that the White Sox traded away, with a cumulative fWar of 17.3. Though not terribly valid it will be interesting to see if Moncada and company can surpass that figure. Seems very likely,  though The Red Sox won’t complain.

Pretty impressive. So we should let the pitchers bat.

I’m sorry, but is that suggesting our OPS out of the DH slot this year is .572?

Shocking with a bad shoulder to boot. Most great talent never reaches peak goals because of injuries.

sick of playing this team

Chris Sale was smart to take that money last off-season.
