I heard Dallas Kuechel on mlb radio this morning. He said that last year non-contending teams did offer him a multi year deal. Curious to know does anyone know if the sox were one of those teams?

I know money talks but I think we stained our image with how we worded the offer. Players and other agents notice and they may be less reluctant to deal with us. i am a glass half full guy, and even if I tried, i still pay my 20 game pass cause well i just love baseball, and my white sox, and being at the park. i cant walk away.. cause i am blindly loyal, but all along I hoped we would come through and now i feel like were the worst organization in baseball. i wish i didnt feel that way cause i will still be rooting, but this just sucked a .....

yeah at this point we can only hope that he doesnt live up to the contract. Still dont make it feel any better

reading this message board its about 95 % pissed off. However a poll was conducted 59% thought San Diego overpaid, 51 % thoguht it was a wise addition of a superstar. and 36.65 percent thought the sox missed a unique opportunity. 32.02 thought it to be disappointing, and 31.33 think we dodged a bullet. So the National thought is better but listening to Passan, Bowden and a few others made me look for my paper bag last night

dont handcuff them now is what we all thought last year. everyone nows from past history a contract like that can be detrimental to the Sox. HOWEVER, the reason so many are mad is that the Sox stated since October we were in on the big boys. Much to our surprise we were hoping for the franchise to finally commit to something like this. All offseason we were led to believe we were in, only for us to get outbid and to find out how we cut corners on 50 million. i dont think people would be that mad if they didnt say anything all offseason
