His stolen base totals and success rate went down at every level. He's not going to be a stolen base guy at the big league level and he'll hit at the bottom of the order.

Chisholm has a chance to be a monster. That's going to be a hell of a trade for the Marlins.

Davis was really bad last year but closing games in Colorado is the hardest job in baseball. If it means getting Gray I'd take a chance on Davis at least being servicable outside that pitching hell hole.

They want to cut payroll. Gray doesn't make a ton so it's a good thing they have a bunch of bad contracts the Sox can take on to make a deal work. Charlie Blackmon, Wade Davis, Ian Desmond, Bryan Shaw, Jake McGee, Daniel Murphy are all guys the Rockies would like to move. A couple of those guys could actually be good fits for the Sox.

If I were Rick Hahn I'd ask house keeping to set up a cot outside the Rockies war room and not leave until they traded me Jon Gray.

The Tatis trade was a fluke. The odds these prospects die on the vine are far far oh my god soooooooooo f'ing far greater than them suddenly turning into superstars it's ridiculous. If they can get some value from them now they absolutely should do it.
