Fernando Tatis Jr. trade burns more than the loss in the Machado sweeps
Puke city ? ? It’s almost as if the question on the cover is directed at Hahn. ?

Fernando Tatis Jr. thread
Eh, I’ll take the Padres version. Yeah, pretty crazy. I don’t get it either.

I guess we will all get to quickly see what the left side of our infield could have been.

Thoughts on the Sox shifting Moncada to 3b?
Nope, I’ll willingly throw him under the bus too. Which one was a Rick Hahn move? Just Rollins?

2019 Predictions
Jon Jay gets injured halfway through the season and Adam Engel takes over CF again. Sox fans can’t decide which guy they despise more by the end of the season.

Thoughts on the Sox shifting Moncada to 3b?
Kenny only knows about keeping aging players in their original positions when they are on their last leg — Carl Everett, Ken Griffey Jr., and Darin Erstad playing CF. Robbie Alomar Jr. playing 2B. Jimmy Rollins playing SS. I’m sure I’m missing a few.

Waiver Wire Candidates
The DBacks put Brito on waivers before they knew the extent of the injury to Souza that occurred in the game against the Sox. I’m not saying he’s a stud or anything but they more than likely wouldn’t have cut Brito loose had they known about this. https://mobile.twitter.com/Dbacks/status/1110669993539035136

Thoughts on the Sox shifting Moncada to 3b?
It makes more sense that the midget Madrigal plays 2B over Moncada. Also, didn’t Moncada play 3B when he was first called up to the Red Sox?

Jay injury update
I hope Engel is truly viewed as a 4th or 5th outfielder at this point. I know Leury can be an adventure in CF but he has shown he can hit a bit. All the defense in the world doesn’t make up for a .600 OPS.

Eloy officially got paid

Eloy officially got paid
A 5 to 6 win player is a franchise player, whether you think so or not. Not everyone is a 10 win player like Trout. Get over yourself and your awful and misguided take on Machado.

Machado is a future fat guy? The guy is on amazing shape. Are we being serious here? ?

Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
LOL! ? Who ever benefits from being around White Sox hitting coaches?

3/25 @ Arizona
Ouch, topping off at 91? This could be like the Shields experience all over again.

Waiver Wire Candidates
Any interest in Socrates Brito? 26 year old RF from the DBacks. Looks like he Ks too much but he has some decent tools. https://mobile.twitter.com/nickpiecoro/status/1110375510998081541 http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=165905

Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
Looking at his Cuban stats, he IS a backup infielder with potential upside. But maybe it’s more about scouting reports than numbers here.
-
Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
Maybe we are expecting too much from this guy and the Sox just want him as a utility infielder backup for next season. Madrigal will replace Yolmer at 2B and Yolmer may be gone with how expensive he has gotten via salary arbitration ($4.625 million). Maybe they view Yolbert as a backup infielder with potential upside.

I just looked at this guy’s Cuban stats and yuck. Was hoping they would be better for a 22 year old. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=sanche000yol

The second post in this thread nailed it, lol.

Sox interested in Yolbert Sanchez
From the article I linked above... “The Orioles, who came up short in their pursuit of Cuban outfielders Victor Victor Mesa and Victor Mesa Jr. and Cuban pitcher Sandy Gaston, still have close to $6 million in bonus pool money to spend on international prospects -- the most money in baseball -- and the Dodgers ($1.4 million) are next. The Phillies have close to $1 million remaining while the Cubs, Rangers and Red Sox follow with bonus pools in the $700,000-$850,000 range.”

I’m all for throwing more money at the top targets.
