Give Alonso until the all Star break. Maybe move him down a little in the order to take pressure off him. Maybe he thinks he has to do too much batting 4th.

I looked at the college stats and really the player that kept appearing just by looking at the numbers was Rutschman, but I wasn't estatic on anyone else so I'd be happy with Abrams, although I don't know the high school field of best hitters. It's difficult for us because we need to see these players personalities. Are they guys that will always try to get better, what is their work ethic, what is their personality, will they be good role models, how do they handle failure, how do they handle success, what about their personal life.

Rutschman the catcher from Oregon is a switch hitter, don't think he he is a better pure hitter than Vaughn. We have Collins who I think is ready today but is blocked by McCann who could be our catcher for the next few years if he keeps at this pace. I don't mind stacking 1B as long as they can learn to play a different position. I would even love to get 1B Pavin Smith from the D Backs.
