  1. Madrigal has 11 walks to only 5 k's. He should be moved up to Birmingham very soon.
  2. Eloy seems like he has a high baseball IQ, so he will figure it out.
  3. How did I guess Benetti would be amazed by Stones rat Astrodome story lol
  4. Time to move Alonso down de lineup.
  5. Aren't those pitche's in the zone?!?!?
  6. Lineup is a bid deeper with Eloy back!
  7. Yes, his swing is another HR or K type of swing with low average. The walks he is getting may be because of the hype, pitchers are scared for no reason other than what they see on TV. Something happened after 2015, I dont think he will come close to replicating that season although he is being paid to replicate that season.
  8. Buxton is having his best year, but I dont expect him to be an elite ML hitter. He has a career .236 average with 376 ks to 82 bb. That would be maybe acceptable pick in the later rounds of the draft but not in the first few rounds. We can draft in the later rounds the athletic guy and develop him . In the early rounds, I rather take the polished hitters, smart hitters than the athletic player who risks not panning out. The question is, what is Abrams? Is he just athletic or does he have some polished hitting in him as well? By the way Buxton looked alot more polished in the minors (although yes the competition is weaker) but his minor numbers showed that he is a good hitter. The Majors messed him up because they probably wanted him to hit HR's, you can see his K to Walk balloon in the majors. Listening to James McCann interview on Sox Talk Podcast, he talks about finding himself and being the player that he truly is. I think thats whats players need to do. Abrams looks like a skinny guy, so at this point to project 30 to 40 HR for him is not who he is. Granted alot of these high school players look small. And I like small players, Im a small guy myself.
  9. We took 2 of 3 in NY, maybe we can rise to the occasion on this road trip in win both series!?!?
  10. We need arms, so maybe giving some characters another shot may help their career and help us win some games. Because if you are afraid to sign Shields again, and dont get Keuchel, and are waiting on Cease, this is another option I like. Bring in some guys for 2nd 3rd chances and see what they can do. It may not work out, but there may be a gem in the woods.
  11. It will be good to see Eloy back. Delmonico to AAA in my opinion is the best move right now.
  12. Alonso is always behind in the count every at bat, maybe why he is struggling?
  13. The Metra Southwest Service should make a station by the park as well. The train practically goes right next to the Rate. I think it would bring even more people to the games.

    This.
  15. Yes and Anderson and Moncadas ML combined k to walk is 814 k's and 173 bb.
  16. I disagree with this. Our development is not the best so we need pure good hitters to begin with. Our development system doesn't produce pure hitter that are good at many aspects if hitting, we usually develop hitters to hit HR and strike out alot, although this season has been a bit better, and Madrigal is a pure hitter. Courney Hawkins was althletic but couldn't hit.
