thanks everyone the two cars that were hit were both unlocked and had the windows down - and both the end cars in the rows they were in, closest to the street there is no doubt a torch was used - perhaps some sort of accelerant in the other vehicle and not enough time to use accelerant in mine but the burn pattern is definately torch like - they had to have gotten into the drivers side and held the torch - every other car in the two lots had their windows up and doors locked; it was just steps to go from the other car to mine the other car is gutted and the car next to it was badly burned on the exterior so white hot flames had to be shooting out of the window of the other burned car - there is nothing left of the interior of that one - at this point given all it had to have been vandalism - this is a very quiet residential (and expensive) neighborhood but right over the berm is the Meijers which means a lot of people pass by here - I was just trying to sell that car too - and I had just put another $300 into it - can you imagine if I had gone to USCF last night - I would have gotten home about 1:30-2:00 to find fire trucks in my parking lot and my car smoking and I would have freaked it was not my jeep that got burned nor my Z so that is the only good part about this, of course those cars I keep locked up and these arsonists went for the open window unlocked cars - but I think my Subaru is gone I am so damned mad right now...

the ability to manage is very different than the ability to play Ozzie could be a jerk when he wanted to be and I see him as no student of the game. Fisk is perhaps my favorite player ever but no way do I want to see him manage - Fisk had his own set of rules when he was with us which were justified by his play and work ethic, and he is as old school as they come - he knows the game but can he teach and coach? I doubt it. If being an old favorite qualifies one for coaching, I am glad that KW is GM and not some of us (excepting Jason who should be GM). And I gag while I type that about KW.

Oh. The way it sounded was that it caught fire as a result of the other car being set ablaze. Sorry. no prob CK - I was writing without precision and with my mind just so boggled

they opened the glove compartment and/or held their source of fire below it luckily I had nothing of value in the car and I don't think i did in the glove compartment other than some parking things they give you when you pay to aprk at USCF - it is good they didn't get the jeep or the Z - the Subaru was the one that was most dispensible but damn it this blows my mind that someone would do this mine was the second car lit; the first car lit is a total loss and the car that was parked next to that is severely damaged if the fire hadn't been discovered so fast my jeep would have been damaged too by flames through the open Subaru window

CK, my car was lit specifically - lit inside - the windows were open - random but planned is what I am thinking I am so mixed feelings right now and anger is one of them

probably random, though maybe preplanned since it happened fast - I had just been outside turning off the sprinklers - my windows are always down - this is small town America - and my car was on the end of the row, and the other car torched was in the front of the lot, so easy access - the car that was next to the other burned car is scorched pretty bad on the outside - only my neighbor's action saved my jeep from being scorched the same way although I will need to look at it in the morning light we live on a corner, sidestreet, with lots of traffic to and from the Meijers so we are sitting ducks for pranks I guess but to burn cars --

someone(s) came through our apartment complex and torched 2 cars, 1 of mine being 1 of them - the other car received much worse damage (it is burnt down) than mine since my upstairs neighbor used his fire extinguisher on mine, although from what I can see, it may be a total loss anyway. firefighters everywhere right now and my mind is just blown away
