At one point i was the only one in my section actually concentrating on the game, and i told people to sit down that were standing up just to watch the fight I travel 205 miles one way, take a day off of work and arrange a substitute for Sunday services so I can attend all three games, $80 to board my dogs, parking costs, food at the ballpark, etc etc etc, and I am going to sit and watch a bunch of druken assholes act out their stupid tough guy fantasies or watch the game I have traveled so far and spent so much to see - and what concerns me is what, whether there are a couple of lowlifes brawling in the stands or whether the Sox win - not much of a choice, is there? we should sit together, koch -

the first bunch of players I ever knew were players who who lived 3 doors down from me, in a bungalo on the nw side - PK has been around Chicago awhile, maybe he just wants a place near work where he can chill easily - maybe he and his fiance have different desires, priorities, concerns I think it is cool if they are really going that route - and it's their free choice, they can do as they please, and I don't think it is our place to be second-guessing them for what they do every hour of their lives - just because some can't imagine why on earth they would do something like that doesn't make it wrong or impossible - it just means, they are adults who know the city and have their reasons and they don't have to live their lives to fulfull our fantasies and desires and wishes 24 hours a day,. 7 days a week -

Hate commuting for work only i take it...because don't you commute from Michigan for Sox games? commute = going to work I hate commuting If I have to be at the office at 9, I prefer to leave at 8:55 - one does not exactly get paid for travel time - and the later I can get up and leave, the better - I can run home during the day - whatever - I like convenience - I wouldn't mind cutting some travel time off my trips to Chicago for games - I am looking to move back to Kalamazoo, would save me about an hour - but regardless, one trip every other weekend or so (other than my 3 trips in one week for the overnight, hawk and dj bobblehead night, and San Diego) is far less taxing than having to drive daily

if I were a player, that is where I'd want to live some people, like me, hate to commute I always live within walking distance of where I work

it wouldn't seem that could be a shoulder injury but it could be if in his stumble when he got his foot caught he jammed his arm on the railing or whatever to prevent falling -

I was in my usual place, 534 on Sunday the Sunday brawel was a few sections to the left of us, and towards the top it was hard to see exactly what happened - a shoe did get tossed from there down below and I hope no one got hurt - a lot of liquds were tossed at various points - lots of security showed up and lots of fighting and I saw security kind of fling a guy down a few rows - several people were expelled that I saw, including two women but since fighting is so low class done by low class people, I didn't watch it and went back to watching the game

people who sue therm "gay" as an insulting term as so trey gay to stay DoubleM, good list, I don't agree at all points but on many I do. Good calls on 50 cent. That album as a whole has some great tracks - some people be too white to get it, which is why everybody on their list is white, specficially heavy white teen age boy ansgt (specifically rejecting the artistry and lyric quality of Linkin Park) or suburban white boys on crystal meth (whoch prodices thread) or white boys doing heavy metal from the 80s with a kind of 90s industrial veneer. You did good, DM, it is the critics of your work who can't get over rave music. Quesyion: what is Linkin park's Faith - is that a reanimation type album from metamora?

Sunday 2 for 3, 1 hit being a home run 1 walk

you never will and that is too bad people make up their minds on whatever and that is that no matter what occurs, and the slant is almost always either totally negative or, on occasion, worshipful idolatry.

ok, got to sign off now but I'll be in touch -

remember that arrow that Steve Martin used to wear that looked like it went through his head? Some very smart young person was selling metal head gear like that today - except it was a bat - with cork sticking out the end - of course I bought one! gotta get another tomorrow for my grandson cuz I'm keeping this one
-
you didn't? damn, wonder what happened - email me again through here and I need to sign off now and maybe not be able to get back to you until tomorrow night when I get home to Michigan, or maybe Monday if I get home Sunday night late - but I will get back to you - sorry, bro, that the earlier email diddn't make it might have a server problem - my email from the Sox about Spingsteen tickets never reached me and if Steff hadn't posted I would have known nothing - my rep assured me my order got through though but still, some stuff hasn't been flowing like it should - sorry
-
don't tell anyone because some people think baseball is only about winning and losing - what you said, that is what baseball is really all about damn yes I want a world series but only 1 team in 30 can win it each year and whatever happens, however painful or great, no one can take away the memories of great times with great people and that is what baseball is all about

I won't agree he quit - I will agree he did not step up today - tired arm or whatever, not his day at all and almost killed us - and tonight after the game when I thought of how he pitched, you came to mind!

not yet but maybe soon

I hope to see Harris at 2nd tomorrow and AR in center tomorrow and see if we can find a good home for D'Lo, with the gift of a gold watch for today - and if we can't, keep using him as needed - one of the great moments in my WS history was at the start of the 9th, the kid who sits a few seats down from me (an MIT student, great guy, Chris if you read this, I love sharing games with you) and I both looked at each other and said "Graffinino at 1st and Jimenez at 3rd?" Never thought I'd those two playing the corners in my life let alone at the same time - but it worked! (and everyone, give credit to JM for outmanaging Dusty two days in a row, big time)

thanks for the correction, knew they lost but haven't had time to check the standings yet - how about 3.5 out after Sunday's games?
-
The reason I am so optimistic is not because the sox have been winning but HOW they have been winning. These type of wins often lead a team into a major roll..........see the year 2000. bingo (add the way the players were cheering each other on today - they haven't looked this tight with each other during a game since after the 2000 Detroit fight)

ain't nothing sad what it does it take for some of you to f***ing enjoy a damn thing? we had tough times and never fell apart, never fell out of it - we are damn well in it now - and no weak division bulls*** - the division the cubs are in is obviously weaker and I haven't seen anyone look invincable this year - it is still June and we are what now, 3.5 out? That is not a bad position and what is f***ing great is that we did struggle so long and we have turned it around the last several series and we are only 3.5 out (or will be tomorrow if we are 4.5 out now) so we are in damn great shape - that is what is great, not what is sad based on the way the team was all hanging on the railing cheering for each other, a sight unseen since 2000, I think everything is great - maybe it took a while for the karma to take hold but look at the calendar and look at the standings and what is great is that we are right there despite having struggled and in the long run, I think it is far, far better, not sad, for a team to struggle early and then pull it together than to coast - the 2001 Mariners were just anotehr team as many others that coasted all season and failed in the post season - that this team has struggled and found its way back is far, far better than if it had coatsed because now this team knows nothing is automatic and yet it believes in itself and is pulling for each other - the best site today was watching the players cheering each other on - there is not a sad thought in my head baseball wise tonight

2 full houses 2 days in a row and 9th inning victories - that is what we needed for people to be excited - we have too often stumbled when we had a full house in recent years but yesterday and today are what we needed - people were buzzing about going tomorrow - great to see people in such good spirits -

I disagree a great deal with your analysis of Rowand.
