"Smelly cat" is not at all associated with Courtney Cox. It is Lisa Kudrow's song. Of course I am getting tickets. Steff, how many do you need - I will get 8 but let's talk - I am not sure I can get 7 friends to go but I want to to be sure before I take another hit on the credit card after everything else I have done this year. I need some hope of being able to pay the bill. And Steff, I am hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt that you only asked HSC and not me. I am going off to cry now.

I wouldn't mock them. In a few years they will be good, they will rebuild, in fact they are in the midst of it. There will no "firesale" because they are rebuilding. That was us in 1970 and a few years since. It is really sad to see a franchise in such shape, especially a historic rival. I want to beat them every game but a team in their shape is no fun for anyone. Give them a few years - they have the GM and the manager to do for them for happened for us following 1970/

that is an awesome tat - wow! congrats! Thanks for sharing and that is way, way cool! the tat artist knew what he was doing for sure, and did a great job! those who ask about pain - I'd describe it as more like a nuisance than pain, an irritation that it is easy to be disintersted in - thanks again Cali!

I sold them for a nice little profit - maybe I should buy you a beer to say thanks as your royalties, huh?

Think of it as a higher order of creation - or evolution. The more advanced of the species have hair on the heads and where else necessary, it is the lower evolutionary orders that have hairy musk ox body hair and often in time none on their head.

a conversion story is only as good as it the depravity that came before. I coveted my neighbor's wheelbarrow doesn't cut it - at a real evangelism rally the confessions of the sinners who have now found the light read like stuff of Penthouse letters - the more degenerate the better the conversion is - so the stories get better and better - and are near porn sometimes and the lack of theological training is deadly. That they are well meaning is a problem because they are so sincere. But they are so dangerous. They say things to teens that is bulls***, just the limited and narrow religion they know. In my congregations, I have a rigid grasp on what is said and taught - I keep control - has to be that way to presevre the uniformity and the value of the message. Don't forget to ask him what Church festival or church event is remembered on October 31st - $10 says he ahs no clue without looking it up.

really, I took your comments as smart ass only in the sense of being witty reparteé - I was laughing - I thought you were feeding me lines to react to - it was all good! Love you anyway and even more for hanging in on this thread when I drove everyone else off the boards - I owe you - you hot sexy thing you!

I was very impressed by his hitting and fielding - we need to get him in the Sox system - sure hands, great arm, great instincts, and great bat - what do our baseball experts know of him? do we have a shot or has he been drafted already?
-
HSC, no problem, you were bring funny I thought, not smart ass - at least how I took it - that Stansberry at 3rd for Rice really impressed me hitting and fielding - we need to draft his ass! I went for Rice because they never won a damn thing before tonight in any sort in their history - so let the little guys win - but Stansberry - wow, what a player. We need him! Tell KW! Tell hahn! draft Stansberry!

Final 14-2 Rice, Rice wins CWS
-
inning ends 14-2 Rice can Stanford score 12 in the top of the 9th?
-
Cunningham, Stanford pitcher, has been drafted 3 times but he stayed and injured hand and has had so-so season - he cost himself some bucks college baseball uses a DH, who knew? Another Rice hit - the Rice coach looks like he is old enough to have played baseball with Abner Doubleday a Stanford error on 3 players trying to catch 1 ball and whoever got it barehanded it to the general zip code vicinity of first base - runners at 2nd and 3rd scored a two-base throwing error the umpire calls strikes with two hands Stansberry singles, 13-2 Rice, I want the Sox to draft and sign Stansberry
-
ground out to end the inning going into bottom of 8th, Rice 11 Stanford 2 Owls will take Cardinal is my guess now...
-
Standford CF Stan Fold (maybe ?? on the last name) hits a record 24th hit in the CWS, big hand from crowd, drives in a run, 11-2 Rice Rice fans all applauded Fold too - very classy, but then they are ahead 11-2 so it is easy to be classy then John Mayberry Jr. bats for Stanford - remember anyone his dad in Kansas City? Mayberry Jr is a BIG kid. Mayberry Jr.'s at bats are as long as his father's were - but he Ks called after 12,095 fouls
-
stanford opens 8th with double and then tries a bunt, foul and then Ks 1 on 2nd, 1 out I know everyone is following this closely.
-
trailing 1-11, Stanford pitcher throws at Rice batter and misses. tries again and hits him. but a double play eliminates the runner and bottom of 7th is over.
-
Stanford has thrown 153 pitches thus far Rice 76
