well, let's see if MB can hit and help himself

don't these people think????? or check calendars?????? actually - your fault - I mark my calendars at work and home as soon as the schedule comes out - with big markings so no one dares schedule anything on an important game day - on the another hand, leave the wife at home and take the kid to the game!
-
I have nothing to say yet, I just like starting game threads! actually, since my game thread yesterday was obviously so successful, I thought I'd better do it again! gotta go to a birthday party for a 6 year old and am going soon rather than later (i.e., the actual party time) so i do not miss much of the game - they should be happy I show up at all on a game day!
-
interesting first post - welcome! I appreciate your words for ncorgble and hope we can all avoid talking down on anyone cick allen is undoubtedly a fine sox fan too and let's all hope we all talk about the Sox the rest of the day! and again welcome!

1. excellent, good, great! and spelled like a true Chicago native! I remember when the Trib was in that campaign to revise spelling - and I still spell thru that way most of the time. 2. those are great seats! I am right above you in upper deck, and slightly to your right. When I hit the lottery, I am getting club level seats! I think club level rocks! Although I like the upper deck too. I prefer sittiing there for the seasion to the lower bowl - I really dislike sitting in the outfield and the amenities at club and upper deck level are much easier accessed than on the lower deck. But club level - that is my dream. At the overnight, I watched sunrise from 329 - it was awesome. 3. that would be wrong - very wrong. 4. I prefer the "I am thru fighting statement."

why must the fights from mlb board come over here? for what it is worth: the Thomas trade to Boston almost happened and didn't for the reasons described, I will vouch for that one can learn more by listening than by attacking and the one being attacked has offered far more than he has ever received back and I am tired of the mlb fights coming over here - so lets please all move on to celebrating yesterdasy and strapping it down for today and tomorrpw and move on

KW is scared s***less to sit down with you guys. JR would just be frightened.
-
What indeed. Rowand was moved to right field and Lee stayed in the game. Mags got to rest in a blow out game in a hot day and Harris played center.

he said that? what a f***ing excuse making whining p r flack for sam-me - that is not reporting, that is just a crap thing to say.
-
you know I posted that just for you!!!!!!!

the doctor is wrong, I'm sad to say - Alex is the name of the Malcom McDowell character in Clockwork Orange and sorry it doesn't get more cool that that - Alex is sex, wit, danger, charisma, trouble, sexual lust - what the hell else can you have in a name? Stay soxhead. The 60s and early 70s were full of heads - we went to head shops because we were heads - potheads, but heads - millions of people have been heads but there has been only one soxhead - stick with it - Dr Murcie, have I done wrong by offering my opinions and if so what is my penance?

see some replays of sam-me's several non-fielding incidents and you'll appreciate the sign someone held up saying "cork your glove"

all praise to Royce this night!
-
exactly - they get kids reading - and while this is not great literature here, it is very good at what it is and I get engrossed in the stories in each book - Happy Potter books and movies have provided my grandkid and me some real quality time not involving the Sox.

Sandy is on the coaching track and we brought him back this season to mentor Miguel. We need to keep Sandy for that reason, and because I'll bet he is coaching for someone if noy us next season. JP I have problems with letting go. Sanders may be the loser here - he isn;t getting that much time - unless we tarde Rick White away and keep Sanders, which I'd be open to.

you know what happened on 09/28/2002 - so yes, the Brewers can beat the Twins!
-
well, the over/under on how long it would you to find an ISU thread was 3 minutes and damn boy you did it in 2! That is awesome! And now since I lost the bet with myself, I don't get to order pizza.

Having never been a knight, not even a squire or a knave, I don't know anything about how to use a fire like a knight... but... whether you can have a fire legally in your backyard is a matter of our local town/township/city ordinances. It is illegal in he city (very small town) where I live without a permit but a 1/4 mile from me into the township it would be legal.

I can tell you about Clint Keown. I'm from Evansville, so I'm familiar with him. Keown graduated from Evansville Memorial High School in 1998, after a successful Prep career in which he became the second all time leading high school scorer in Evansville's history (he is now third). Keown was a talented, well-rounded player. He could score against almost anyone, was a good ball-handler, and was tremendously competitive. On the downside, he was/is not well-liked off the court. welcome to soxtalk!

this is good advice - depending on the laws of your state and how they interpret resignation as self-chosen unemployment, you have to careful not to jeopardise that. Unemployment comp isn't much but it is something, and every bit helps. Unemployment comp is also taxable income with no deductions taken, so be aware. Each state has different laws. What is key is once you file, will they object to paying or not. Not that they pay directly but it will affect their premiums for next year.
