  1. voted again, we are 11 go for it everyone
  2. I will at the cell watching the game. My question is - who comes on my extra ticket? My grandson who is 8 and maybe too young to appreciate it? My best friend since 1965 who goes to a lot of games with me but isn't that much of a baseball fan so he couldn't care one way or the other? My buddy whose house I stay at 99% of the time when I am in Chicago, diehard Sox fan, but is legally blind and won't exactly see the game if I bring him? Someone else? I am open to any ideas. Please write your suggestions or comments on a $100 bill and email me and I will give you the address to send your suggestions to...
  3. and I can't wait to see to see the look on your face when you open your present from me next Christmas morning!
  4. since this thread will never die, get your Royce Clayton stuff here to feed your Royce jones! http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?h...rty=MetaEndSort
  5. http://www.dpmonline.com/cc/baseball/mlb/al/cws.html was looking for Sox logos on the internet and found this link - check the very last item, the Nelson Frop patch
  6. I want that same deal when I come this summer. Not the thanks, the drinks! you got it!
  7. oops - didn't know that, I was just making it up sorry as far as Paciorek - yes he does some work with the Tigers; I have heard him do it over the last two seasons
  8. Youngest town councillor in Canada and publicly admitided to being far left in Redneck Alberta. Not, braggin' just suggestin' keep the faith. Congratulations! That is impressive! I should of have added that I got the 3rd highest vote total and still lost - the one person who got more votes than me, in two elections, was the only Democrat elected in this county in well over a century - so I did well given the circumstances - very impressed with your election and service! Keep the faith, truly!
  9. Just how much do you "know?" www.heatherandmike.com has all the pictures - nice body, by the way!

    Iowa

    1. the state voted right in 1988 which gave me a hint we could win in 1992 - the state voted right in 1992, 1996, and 2000. Go Iowa! 2. the state where U of Michigan lost its beloved Johhny Orr to, to ISU 3. the state with the school, Iowa, that has gioven us some titantic battles in football 4. Harold Hughes, a great man and a great governor who supported Eugene McCarthy in 1968, giving a stirring nominating speech at the 68 convention. Those are imagines that come to mind when I hear "Iowa."
  11. according to the 2001 media guide, yes.
  12. was at both games - there was nothing going to keep me from the Sox in the playoffs. Hell, I was actually running for county clerk that year and missed not only part of my campaign to be at the playoff games, but also the earlier part of the campaign in the last months of the season since I wanted to be at Comiskey. Don't know how many Labor Day parades I missed but that was the weekend we had those wild games with Anaheim and I know I made the right choice. Also missed campaign events for a few other September games, As I explained to the voters, I could run office any year but the Sox in the playoffs didn't happen all the time and I had my priorties. Election results? I got the 3rd highest vote total that a Democrat every got in a county election here, in history.
  13. By the way, Eminem's portion of the Anger Management Tour opened with a brilliant video display that was, how can I say, not very favorable towards Liberman. It had clips of all the idiotic things that self-appointed moral censors have said about the 8 Mile boy and did they look stupid and like panderers to the lowest cultural denominator. The only person Em ripped into more in the show was Bush - his rodeo take on the Bush and his administration in Square Dance is fantastic. Gotta like an artist who takes on Bush, Cheney, and Lieberman and who wrote the immortal lines, "f*** you Ms. Cheney! f*** you Tipper Gore!"
  14. ahead of Seattle? I think the writer was drinking a bit of that Everclear stuff. Whatever. I'd rather be the team that no one respects and make them respect us than be cruising on a reputation that is worthless, as Boston must be.
  15. Let me guess - behind NY, Anaheim, Oakland, Seattle and the Twins - but ahead of Boston. I suppose we should be surprised we weren't ranked 7th. As Jason says, preseason rating mean little and I hope our players see this and decide to show the ratings up
  16. absolutely right in my opinion - DJ has worked hard and gotten so much better - at SoxFest I was really impressed with how he handled the forums - Hawk and DJ rock!
  17. YASNY, you are very wrong. Jose did not mock Sosa, he was merely saying hi to his kids. I never thought about that game you explained it and I think you are right! For some reason i was home from work that afetrnoon and atching the game on WGN and online on the MLB boards when it happened - if they still have it archived, I posted about so damned fast while I was laughing so hard - one of those by yourself computer moments you never forget
  18. John Henry Williams has to be the world's biggest asshole.
  19. I think Bags and I killed that thread be careful of that site - it can be fun at times but it can sure be filled with crazed loons
  20. If it were Lieberman vs Bush, not even an issue, Lieberman. If it were Kenny Williams vs Bush, not even an issue, Kenny Williams. However I doubt either one will get the nomination. I am leaning towards Edwards a lot. Also like Graham of Florida. I also like the Southern strategy obviously. I have no problems with Kucinich what so ever. I am very glad Mosely Braun is running. I loved her as a Senator but she earned her defeat, damn it and damn her. However her running means Al Sharpton will not have a part of the field to himself and that is good, very good indeed.
