I'll echo that and hope it gets applied to everyone's divergent tastes no matter how some people don't get into them. KISS certainly gets points for capitalizing on the right place, right time, and they succeeded as entertainers - no easy task to do it so well so long -
  2. You break that tie by the subjective standard of who did what that meant more at the time it was done. A 1-2 finish in MVP would be a tribute to everyone.

Let's do pavillion if you need something to break the tie of what to do - pick up a ticket for me so I can sit with you - I want to share the Korn experience with their biggest fan - and I'll pay you when I see you opening day. The 20th works very well for me - so let's do it!
  6. He will, on the field, which is where he should do all of his talking.

Yes, my 2nd grader grandson gets Eminem*, and I am very proud of my grandson. I am also proud that he can go from discussing Eminem to Tschiakovski (which he has seen performed, with me) to a host of other things. Before the year is out he will go to a bunch of games at Comiskey with me, Lyric Opera, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Eminem at Ford Field in Detroit. He is a very well rounded child, and I am indeed most proud of him, love him so much, and love his parents. My grandson's father, my son, is a Marine stationed God knows where right now and is also an Eminem fan. Now if you have more to say about my grandson I'll put you in touch with his father and you can say it to his face. *he does a beautiful job rapping the first two verses of Lose Yourself and the same portion of 8 Mile. And in fact, we were rapping together just yesterday. He likes Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Nas a lot, too. We also listened to some Puccini and discussed what his first opera will be. And planned our trips to Comiskey to see "our Sox" as he calls them.

Category 18 Best Metal Performance (For solo, duo, group or collaborative performances, with vocals. Singles or Tracks only.) * Here To Stay Korn I haven't seen them yet but I would love to -
  10. Oh come in - Frank may be exactly why the are in 1st place at the break - or it may be some one(s) else or any combination thereof - one reason I am looking forward to this season to see how it all comes out!

By the way RPS Korn won a grammy tonight - not of earth shattering importance but recognition of quality is always good. And Em has won 2 - so far...

Indeed I am! As the Who once said ' "Hope I die before I get old." I intend on living out there as long as I am alive. The alternative is so boring.

When you get to 7th grade maybe you'll have the intellect to figure it out. Then again, my grandson - who is a boy - could figure it out and he is in 2nd grade - so maybe not.

I don't form opinions about things that haven't happened and are just the products of wild imaginations. The inability to be gracious towards things that differ from one's own tastes is something that is not lacking in people who are really clued in. I can appreciate your favorite and appreciate a lot of other things too. Maybe I am just not as narrow or limited, or more open to what is out there instead of living only in tastes formed in high school, than some.

I take it that I am the wise one! I have posted a picture of what I consider great music to make it easy for everyone! Got 50 cent's new one Saturday and am very impressed by it. Also liking Ludacris a lot and of course D12. My big five are the Beatles, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, and Eminem. And Mozart, Puccini, and Verdi, which is one reason I have seasons tickets to the Lyric Opera. Heard a great American opera twice this year, Carlisle Floyd's Susannah, which I really like and is a new area of opera (American) for me to explore. Heavy metal, RPS, one has to recognise Korn, they do rock beter than anyone. And while it is not heavy metal, I really, really like Linkin Park. I never understood KISS' appeal when they came out and I still don't.

One of the great things about the internet is anyone with the price of a connection can post any damn foolish thing they want, however ignorant, ill informed, and even by someone so tres chic that they don't need to know the facts of what theyare talking about.
  17. go for it bjmarte! I will be looking forward to your post at the break! but no one will eat their words - they will just equivicate all over the place but we will know that you are right!
  18. bj, as hsc said, the bar is purely first come first serve so getting your upper deck tickets will work to get you into the park to get to the bullpen bar - have done that a number of times myself - knowing that I like sitting in the upper deck may influence the rest of my answer but I am too chickens*** to sit in any seats other than my own other than when I am with HSC or GUG but that's me - depending on the game you and your ability to not be as chickens*** as I am, you could sit anywhere - and the only times in 2002 that there was no access to the lower deck was opening day, the cubs series, and the Memorial Day Yankees game (and maybe the whole series, I wasn't there for that). I usually spend time on the concourse, a lot of times we eat downstairs and don't make our way up until close to game time. I can't imagine why they wouldn't let you you upgrade - they have windows for that and why would they object - no way to tell from your ticket what plan you got them under and you want to officially upgrade and give them a few more bucks for an upgraded seat why wouldn't they take your money? especially because they can then turn around and sell your original seat again - I did the sox 7 plan for a year and liked it so much that I moved into the split season plan so be forewarned!

On this we disagree totally. Of course the Sox will one day be without Frank - do you think none of us are aware of mortality or the passing of time? As it is we played without him for most of 2001. Frank can carry this team like no one that I ever seen. Frank was responsible for much of 2000 as any single player on a 25 player team possibly could be. I do not look forward to the day when Frank is gone, which I really hope is after many more years in a WS uniform, retiring as a Sox player. For your trading proposal, I am very grateful that KW and not you is the GM. In fact there is no one out there that I would trade Frank for. Loyalty is a two way street and Frank has a lot of good years left in him.
  21. I don't think our franchise is pathetic. I don't think the Sox are losers, nor are its fans. In the whole scheme of things, I have gotten back far than whatever I have put into the Sox - great friends, great times, great excitment, great memories. Whatever you think is impossible to refute - go to it. Baseball is life and it is far more complex than any single statistic. And that is reality.
  22. Whern Paciorek does the Tigers, he talks them up and talks out players down now. I still enjoy him doing games, I just yell at him to shut up now and again which I never did when he was with us...
  23. I am not a loser, nor are any of the Sox fans that I know. And our franchise is not pathetic. The numbers are sparse but that does not translate automatically into anything. There are a lot of factors that go into that. On my way to church now and no time to go into this but I am not going to leave the house with being called a loser going unanswered.
