with 10% of all income being tithes to the church
  2. CLee may cost us an inning or two but then again he'll win some games for us too and when he beats the cubs again we'll all dance for joy - his defense has improved each year and he'll never be a gold glove but if he improves again in 2003 as it has each year past, I'll be more than happy, and CLee wasn't the only dunderhead on the bases last year. I am not worried about CLee at all. 2nd base is the one position that I am worried about.
  3. I wish injury to no one and a broken leg (see pasts threads) is a very painful thing, and not always something can recover from. Baseball injuries can be so bad - remember Robin Ventura's injury - and it would be a shame to have a great baseball talent lost because of an injury. As a person, we must send good wishes Torii's way. That said, no one held a f***ing tag day for us when Frank was injured, or we lost all our pitchers in 2001, so... be prepared for all the whiny twinkie fans saying "its all because Torii is injured" as if no other team in history ever had an injured player.

take pictures and leave the camcorder on, with volume...
  9. oh come on HSC, you knew JB was not making the 25 palyer team this March - he will come up in due time like Crede and be a star but he needs a few more months - it will happen and it will be and when the time is right JB will be glorious
  10. I am personally sick unto death of the word gay being used as a derogatory term. How many times do we have to ask for that common respect for other posters? It would be more to the point to have written "That is the most juvenile high school aged boy thing ever..." Enough is enough of the usage of the word gay.
  11. damn those S&R boys - they take and take and take...

I have found him not bad on non baseball issues or on baseball issues not related to Chicago teams - in the few times that I have read him - but he is just too biased, too ignorant, truly unworth it in his columns on the two teams - did I get that he is on the media somewhere? I'd never watch -

alot of good information that would have been enhanced by editing - rewording here and thre and reworking a few things - but I learned some new things and if you rework it you have got a great capsule of a future star - thanks for the effort, thanks for the work, much appreciated -

a slapped dick can be very painful
  18. cluger, thank you - Frank is so vewry vital to the team and we had no where this consistency in being 500 since the 60s so I think the Frank Thomas era (which I hope we are only midway through) has been a very productive one
  19. bj I posted something and then realized I misread something so i deleted the post- thanks for raising the issue - not sure what the problem is between you and brando fan but whatever, none of my business
  20. what a great post! thank you for brightening my day! Notice how my beloved friend RPS does not know the difference between "liberal" and "libertartian." But you just can't expect higher order reasoning from a Notre Dame now, can you?

So every tram should get rid of a star and they will automatically improve? I can thiunk of a lot of teams that did not happen to. It worked for Seattle in a two year time span but if this were such a great theory, why not have every MLB team try it? I have posted something very similar to this elsewhere but I am tired of the trashing on Frank so here goes: all the stuff about Frank Thomas: A. he was part of the wonderful chemistry 2000 team wasn't he so if he were such a bad team mate how did that team have great chemistry while Frank was having an MVP-typer year? B. Frank was a part of 3 division champion teams: 1993, 1994, and 2000. Not only must he not be wrecking chemistry on three division champion teams, to say the very least, but I request anyone out there to name me one other White Sox player in our entire history who played on 3 separate championship (of any type) White Sox teams. Name one, anybody.

  24. I'll echo SI1020's and OKgoh's comments - these articles are really worthwhile reading. PS How does Brett Farrenkopf turn into kevingrt13?
