Defense lost this game. Sox gave the Yanks 4 of their 5 runs! If Kuekel makes that play in the first inning, they don’t score those two runs. Then the overthrow On the DP attempt, and then we walk in a run!

Haven’t been impressed with Hendricks at all!

Would have liked to see Mendick hit for Lamb. Maybe Jose’s HR would have been a 3 run homer!

Teams are hitting .400 against Taillon the third time through the order! Need to get to him now before the Yankee bullpen comes in. Anderson couldn’t square up two cookies!

The 26-16 record was obviously fool’s gold achieved primarily against a crappy central division (minus Cleveland). This team is not ready to play the big boys. What we Are seeing this weekend is not all Yankee pitching. I guarantee the next time Montgomery and Taillon pitch other teams will hit them.

Sox lost this game because they could not add on more runs against one of the worst bullpens in MLB.

I would have had Grandall bunt!

How did we sweep them last week? Their bullpen appears much better than ours.

I do believe that the decision to sign Grandall and let McCann walk will ultimately come back to bite the Sox in the ass. Decisions like this, not to mention the hiring of an outdated manager, lead me to believe that the ineptitude of the front office will prevent this team from reaching the promised land.

Are the Royals a team we need to be concerned with going forward? Looks like they may be 14-7 by the end of today, and they appear to be a pain to play head to head.

I’d love to have Vaughn prove me wrong!

Leury has proven he can hit major league pitching. Get him regular at bats and his average will go up. Vaughn hasn’t proven anything.

Too many automatic outs in this lineup. I’d rather see Leury in left field.

If Inrecall, the Sox had trouble hitting this kid last year.

As it turned out, Crochet was not hurt. RR took him out because his velocity was down a couple of MPH. I say if He said he was OK, I'd let him keep going. He struck out the only two batters he faced, so the lower velocity wasn't hurting him. I would have like to see Crochet fight to stay in the game.

Can only hope that this loss will make them that much more hungrier next year!
