Yeah, so did I. I wasnt impressed with Memphis when we played them and won without Deron Williams playing, but then they picked it up and did great in the conference season, so I was kind of torn. Looks like they dominated those last 10 minutes of the 1st half, hopefully SC has a run in them.

Carlos actually sucks against lefties. Im hoping he improves big time against south paws this year, and he'll have an all star year. I think he batted above .320 against righties, and like 260 against lefties.

Nobody posted that DePaul won in double OT? I guess there are no DePaul fans up this late. That was a very boring game, especially for a double OT game. I was impressed by Drake Diener though. He played awesome in the C-USA toureny, and stepped up again today. I wish Illinois had a player that was as confident as he is at the line. Go Illini!

...and also screws me by always going to overtime when baseball tonight is starting at 9!!! I swear every playoff hockey game goes to overtime, whether its your classic boring 0-0 game or the high scoring 6-6 game.

Come on people, somebody has to pick Murray St over Illinois. The more people that do, the better chance of Illinois winning. Although, with 2 of Murray St.'s better players being arrested yesterday, that may have gone out the window. My upsets are South Carolina over Memphis, BYU over Syracuse, Manhatton to the Sweet 16 beating Florida and Wake, and Dayton over DePaul. And a long shot, Northern Iowa over GT( ). Everyone may now ridicule my picks...

No matter what, the game will be on CBS. (Channel 2 in Chicago) There are no other options I dont believe because CBS owns all the rights to every game.

Looks like we got the 11:20 time slot, which sucks, because just last Friday I had to leave early in my class for an 11 o clock game, and now again, I will have to leave early!

You know, theres a reason why we are such whiners. Our school does nothing every single year once the tourney begins! We have never beat a higher seed ever in the history of Illinois basketball, and of course, that means we've never won a national championship. We whine because we have reasons to whine, and until something monumental happens, ill continue to whine! Hail the Chief!

He's saying that no game is gonna be easy, upsets are everywhere, and both Cincy and Illini should be worried about E. Tenn St and Murray St before matching them up against each other. Your really going to rub this in that the Big 10 is having a down year. We cant have one bad year without everyone knocking us down as fast as they can? The ACC was down 3 years ago I believe, and they bounced back quite nicely. The Big 10 will do the same, and i expect 5-6 teams next year for sure.

How are all 6 ACC teams better than Illinois and Wiscy. They both competed til the buzzer on the road against NC and Maryland. Although they both lost those games, they both definitly have teams that could beat any team in the ACC. No way Wiscy deserves a 6 seed, but playing in Milwaukee is a plus at least. BTW---> Bruce Weber is on the Score right now.

Which is exactly why he gave the committe an A. He would have been pissed if teams like Wake Forest and Georgia Tech would have gotten 5 and 6 seeds. This is absolute crap, Illinois will be playing one of the biggest sleepers in the tourney, Murray St. and the only conselation that Wiscy gets is that they get to play in Milwaukee. I cant believe when they showed Wisconsin's locker room that they cheered when announcing they got the 6 seed. I would have thrown something at the camera. :fyou Committee!

I know hockey postseason is good, I hate hockey otherwise, but Im a college nut, so im bias towards March Madness. The fact that no one can predict what is gonna happen makes it so fun to watch. The first weekend(Thurs-Sun) is amazing, and its so gripping that I cant even move from the couch. I think this year I am going to get the $9.99 March Madness thing on Ncaasports.com where you can see all the games streaming on your computer. Ill have to take advantage of my 50 foot LAN cable, hopefully it will reach downstairs to the TV.

I believe Western Michigan could be a huge sleeper too. The MAC hasnt got to much pub like they usually did the last 4 years of being a sleeper conference. Kent St fizzled at the end, so i think Western Michigan could surprise a couple teams in the first 2 rounds.

We should almost start a new thread for the selection show, im sure there are going to be a lot of discussions of why the hell did _________ get placed there !! And why did ______ get only a 6 seed. Well, I love Selection Sunday, i just watched 2003's on my computer last night(yes, the seedings are still the same on tape) and am getting pumped for it. I really do think that Illini will get the 4 seed, its just a matter of where we go.

Hmm, well, i decided before the game that if we lose, I wont be mad, with my "never have a win streak going into the tourney" theory. But getting destroyed like this is quite demorilizing. Im confident that we will bounce back, but we better get the 4 seed, I hope the committee doesnt look at this and drop us to a 5. After this 12 game win streak, we dont deserve to drop 2 spots. I hope Wisky plays like this in the tourney, they will be hard to beat. Sighhh... GO ILLINI!

Lol, well, at least this argument has given me something to do. But seriously though, I like the Sox just as much as most everyone on this board. I will watch 160 of the 162 games, and support Carlos more than anyone I know ( well, and Heather Lee, where ever she went ) But my support for Illinois is 10 fold, I put more research into Illinois than the Sox. For example, im such an Illinois nut, that i've got 4 seasons of their games on tape, created 500 or so pages of box scores, recaps, and summarys into a binder for each of their last 4 seasons. And as far as clothing goes, I literally have about 20 Illinois shirts and sweatshirts, 3 Illini coats, and 5 hats. So, as you can see, I am absolutely crazy about Illinois sports, and this is why i voted for them.

Haha, now your just stating an opinion. We all have different opinions, and mine is that I want Illinois to win a national title before the Sox winning a world series. How is an opinion ludacris?? I would kill for a Sox world series, absolutely go nuts! But I'd go just a tad more crazy because I personally would rather have Illinois win. Just because you think that no one cares about Illinois (who told you this?) doesnt mean I dont have a right to my own opinion. And I would question that last part of that statement, I bet there are as many people that follow the Sox that follow Illlinois as well.
