Would someone tell me if refs get paid per flag thrown?? What the f***?? This is the worst officiated game i've seen this year.I really don't care who wins or loses,but,as Darryl Johnston said earlier on Fox,"Sooner or later,YOU HAVE TO LET THE GUYS PLAY". Once again,a game will be decided by officials,NOT THE PLAYERS!!!! And a lot of the penalties are cheap as s***.Just let the players play,for Christ's sake!! :****:****

Mario hit the nail on the head here.Yes,Thomas is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) hitters in Sox history.But how do you expect the team to lock up Beuhrle,Konerko and Ordonez (not to mention finding some affordable starting pitching) with this weight hanging off their shoulders?? If the Sox are making this move with the thought of acquiring veteran playoff tested starting pitching and locking the 3 players mentioned above up to multi year deals,I say hooray!! But knowing Chairman Cheapskate,it's a cost cutting measure. :mad:

As a 40 year old male,i've seen my f***ing namesake make NO commitment to quality playoff tested starting pitching. Hell, do the Sox expect Beuhrle to pitch on 1 year contracts forever?? This is going to be 2003,not 1963!! No way Clemens comes here.And even if he did,his fastball is slowing a bit.Remember how Danny Wright beat him 8-2 at Yankmee Stadium this past Sept.?The so called "Rocket" barely made it through the 4th,if I remember correctly.

I'd much rather see the Sox pick up Jamie Moyer or Robert Person (who used to be in our farm system,if I remember correctly).I also think that shoulder's got a little too much mileage on it for me.
